La Cueva Restaurant — Restaurant in Hazleton

My fiance is newly in love with the shrimp salad, and had me on a hunt for it yesterday. I put la cueva in my waze maps and got there, walked in and told them I have no idea what I'm looking for is called, but explained it to them, and they were swiftly able to point me int the right direction! Prices were great, my first time trying this salad (or restaurant at all) and it was delicious! I will definitely order again, and try more from the menu! They have a full service buffet style setup, accommodating walk-ins, carry outs, call ahead and sit downs. Parking was street parking, but plenty of it was available...

“No hay forma de olvidar mi primera visita a La Cueva. Entré con hambre… y salí con alma nueva. Me recibió un olor que me hizo pensar en los domingos de campo con mi abuela: mondongo burbujeando, arroz humeante y chicharrón sonando como música.

Pedí sin pensarlo: pollo al horno, pastelón y una ensalada de camarones. El primer bocado fue como un viaje directo a República Dominicana sin pasar por Migración. La pechuga a la Gordon Blue de mi amigo llegó jugosa, con el queso derretido que se desbordaba como si pidiera aplausos.

Y lo mejor: la cocina abierta. Ver cómo preparaban los platos con tanto cuidado me dio confianza y hambre al mismo tiempo. Me atendieron como si fuera de la familia. Son gente cálida, de servicio rápido, con ese toque que solo los restaurantes hechos con corazón tienen.
