Freezy's Creamery — Restaurant in Helena

10-18-2025 update. My wife and I arrived at Freezy's in the early afternoon for ice cream. Been here a number of times and LOVED it. What we received was unexpected. I got the Boss which is their special chocolate ice cream. This was super dark, unlike the other times I had it. Also, SUPER SWEET which isn't normal. The ice cream started melting down my hand, through the cone in about 4 minutes which was also odd. My wife had the sweet cream vanilla which was also SUPER SWEET unlike previous times. The consistency of both was off as well. We wondered if someone else made the ice cream meaning not the regular person who does. OR are cheaper ingredients being used. Either way, we didn't enjoy the ice cream as we have a number of times in the past. ‐--‐---‐‐------------------------------------------------------------------- Anyone who knows me will tell you I am not a big ice cream fan, generally speaking. HOWEVER, My wife and I went to Freezy's this afternoon. She ordered the sweet cream vanilla in a waffle bowl. I ordered the Boss chocolate in a waffle cone. Ladies and gents, I was BLOWN AWAY!. The depth of chocolate is just hard to describe. SO creamy, SO 'chocolaty and SO good to boot! My wife LOVED her vanilla. BTW, you must spend the extra money for a fresh waffle cone/bowl. You will NOT be disappointed. 😋🤤

IF you are any where around Old Town Helena, you MUST come and get the best icream you likely...

Pretty good ice cream with unique flavors. The downtown Helena area is quaint but old so the vibe and experience are just ok. Parking can be tricky. Hardly any seating and rickety wooden steps/ramp to access the counter plus no spot to really wait for your ice cream once you place the order. The last time I was here, they weren’t so friendly. I brought my dog because in the past they had a puppy ice cream available on the menu but this time they didn’t (no worries!) What threw me off was that the lady working here offered me an alternative option for my dog with chocolate in it. I suppose dogs not being able to have chocolate isn’t something everyone knows but be careful if you order ice cream here for Fido - be sure to triple check what’s in it. I ended up buying a small single vanilla scoop for my dog which cost more but was better for my peace of mind. All in all, the ice cream is the best part but there’s nothing here to experience. I’d recommend just going for the ice cream...

Freezy's Creamery is the best ice cream I have ever had.

I don't mean "it's very good," no, it's the best I have ever had. I have had a lot of ice cream from just about everywhere, and this is as good as you can get. High milk fat, ultra creamy and perfectly thick.

It's got the texture of a dream and flavor that tickles the tongue.

I had the Buzzy Bourbon, and oh my goodness. It was glorious. My wife tried the Blueberry Muffintop and it was absolutely perfect.
