Ok, so I read a LOT of the reviews, and we decided to stop here anyway, because sometimes folks are having a bad day, or there is some minor miscommunication, or something, and that results in a poor rating or review. Here is the big HOWEVER ~ first off, a note to management; your waitresses are the face of your business ~ if you can't afford to hire someone whom you feel represents you properly, you would be wise to then represent yourself, otherwise, you are going to CONTINUE getting bad reviews based on poor customer service. Such was the case today. Your waitress ignored my husband repeatedly through several steps of acknowledging, ordering, collecting and serving, and paying. Dear management, that is ALL of the steps of waitressing......you may find your business boosted should you find another waitress. Secondly; in order to succeed, you need to have at LEAST 2 of the five necessities of success in a restaurant working in your business ~ that would be Atmosphere ~ you get a 10, it's great Service ~ 2, it's not great at all, it's awful Price ~ 5, it's only mediocre Quantity ~ 3, below average Quality ~ 2, also far below average Even if the service was only mediocre, and you were higher on any of the other areas, it would be better. Read moreMy wife and I have enjoyed hwy 55 over the time span it's been open and as of our last 3 experiences not so much. I came in alone on one visit ordered a make your own burger, double patty, no cheese, no lettuce, no onion, add bacon. It came out with cheese, lettuce and onion on a double patty, I sent it back, it then came back a single patty, no cheese, no lettuce, no onion, so I said something again. The waitress wanted to have the cook just cook another patty and have me get it while the rest sat and got cold. Nope make it all over and make it right please. Second visit I ordered the burger the exact same way, it comes out along with my wifes burger with no tomatoes on it, so we asked and got our tomatoes. This time we go in and I watch the cook who is wearing rubber gloves, goes from food prep and cooking to grabbing refrigerator doors, his hat, wiping his gloved hands on his apron, back to food, fridge door again and during this time not one removal and change of the gloves and not one hand wash session. The owner needs to really take time and train their staff on food safety, cross contamination and all around doing the job right. I take food safety and cleanliness very important. Read moreThe food and the employees are excellent! However the management needs a lot of work. The employees are going about taking care of the customers and the managers then take it upon themselves to blame employees for mistakes they have not made. The management is lazy and when asked to do simple tasks they complain about it and yell at the employees for them to do it instead. As a customer who enjoyed the food and the service immensely I’m extremely disappointed to see the workers being punished for things they didn’t do. Especially since they feel the need to punish them in front of customers which is a completely unnecessary embarrassment and not to mention unprofessional. I am tipping these waiters for being awesome and I don’t want to see them being blamed about something when they are getting my food or drink. The employees don’t deserve to be scolded for simply doing their best at their job. I have only ever seen these issues arise when the female mangers were present. I have never had problems when the male mangers were around. I wish the best of luck to the workers and I hope the managers can learn to make it a more pleasant place to be.
