The service was fast, friendly, and efficient. The owner has that bit down! The atmosphere is incredibly political (a lot of signs about personal beliefs), which isn't something I personally enjoy when I'm trying to go out to eat, but to each their own.
The food itself was not anything I would call barbecue. The ribs were ribs, the brisket was brisket, and the sliced pork was sliced pork, but I wouldn't call any of it barbecue. Everything was drier than it should be, nothing comes with sauce on it (ribs should be sauced) , and the seasonings were minimal. The baked beans tasted like they were from a can. We just served 100+ for our wedding rehearsal dinner and there is not a rib left! The brisket is also excellent as are the coleslaw and beans. Our guests kept raving about the food. Even more, Tom was so wonderful to work with. He returned emails and calls punctually, was so kind and helpful, and was generous with his time in the middle of a busy wedding and event season. Sometimes you have to wait a little bit if other people are ordering, but for one guy running the whole operation, it's super reasonable and worth the wait.
