Im right down the street from The Big Cheese Pizza Co. so I've been there plenty of times to let the kids run wild and play games, eat dinner or catch a game. Even saw a UFC fight there. While I've always enjoyed myself recently a few things have raised some red flags. The food is the food. Don't walk into this place expecting CPK cause there's going to be a lot of disappointment handed out. Its not garbage, either. A good, solid 6. The cheese is loaded with garlic, which is a big plus for me. Other than that its all pretty much run of the mill parlor food. The place is always clean. Now I can only speak for the dining area, arcade and male restrooms. If the female restrooms look like a biological horror you wouldn't hear it from me. Nothing is sticky or filthy; it doesn't smell or look beat up. Now take this last critique with a grain of salt. This did not happen to me but I have seen the same thing happen to other patrons at other times. During the NFL season this place doubles as a Green Bay Packers hub.I've never had anything good to say about a Packers fan and some of the behavior I've seen and heard of backs this up. They get hostile, pushy and after having enough to drink really disrespectful and indignant. Week 1 of the season I saw three GB fans essentially trying to tell a San Francisco fan that this was "their" bar and to get out. Rightfully so the guy stood his ground and told them to F off. A few weeks later, another GB fan basically took over my friend's table while they were sitting at it;claiming that they had it reserved. For the record, there were no placards commonly used to reserve tables anywhere to be seen. When my friends resisted the guy got agitated and started a diatribe about how long he'd been coming to that place and he always sat there...blah blah blah and refused to wait until the 10am games were over so he could sit there. At this point my friends attempted to let the staff know what was happening. Conveniently, no manager could be found and the regular wait staff was afraid to do anything about it. I know better than to go to this place when my Bears play the Packers. That's just common sense. But any other day I would like to enjoy seeing my team play without essentially being pushed out by someone with a sense of...
ย ย ย Read moreThis new change is no good. They eliminated the counter where you order your food. Now you have to wait for a server to come take your order. Which seems like an okay plan except these arcades are loud and chaotic and it took an extra 20 minutes after arriving before I was able to flag down the server and order food. The arcade looks beautiful, but the new card system they replaced the tokens with is atrocious. I paid 33 dollars and my kids ran out of credits in 9 minutes because every single game is 2-4 credits to play just once. I used to cash in a 20 dollar bill and give the kids tokens every few minutes and it would last at least 30 minutes of playing. With these cards you can't control how fast they spend the little credits they give you. One of the most frustrating parts was when I was ready to pay and leave I had to once again flag down the server for my tab. The check out system asked me to tip the server and once again I'm frustrated at the change of business there. The server was a nice enough kid but I hardly saw him the entire time. I have been here many times and paid at the food counter so I was thrown off that now I'm being asked to tip on already overpriced food that was placed onto the table and then I never saw the server again. It's like they're trying to turn an arcade into a fancy restaurant. I've had fun here in the past and I love their sandwiches but it's not enough for me to return again after this remodel. Not enough bang...
ย ย ย Read moreWe will definitely be back! My husband stumbled upon this place while doing a quick search for places to eat. They are very family friendly; we went with our 3 young children, and we all enjoyed our evening there. The manager explained how it worked, took our order, and gave us extra tokens for the kids to have fun with in the arcade. We got the family deal - a large pizza, salad, fountain drinks and tokens. The pizza and salad were both delicious, and we didnt have to wait long at all for our food. We stayed and played until after closing time, with no rush to leave. The manger even fixed one of the arcade games after closing time so the kids could play it. When it came time to turn the tickets for prizes, the manager was again generous. My 4 year old commeted that he wanted the Spider-Man toy, which was way out of his ticket winnings. The manager, instead, mentioned a few other similar items he could chose from that were also well outside of his ticket winnings. My 2 year old didnt want to give up her tickets to get a toy, but the manager let her choose a toy from the wall anyways, one that was outside of her ticket winnings too. The manager was very hospitable, as well as his employees. We cant...
