The former Abby's Cafe was purchased and renovated over the summer (2025) and my hopes for a great downtown coffee spot were high. Perhaps that is why Henniker House of Coffee feels like such a let down. I've given it two tries but the coffee is simply bad. The beans have been burnt on both occasions. The first bagel I had seemed like it was purchased at a grocery store, but when I returned a month later the bagel was certainly better but not amazing - very soft no crunch. The wrap was soft and chewy, the chicken salad had just enough crunch and an almost sweet tanginess to make it really good.
