Let me start by saying this is not your average pizza place. I’ve been to countless pizza spots across the Bay Area, but Pizza Twist in Hercules stands out for all the right reasons—flavor, freshness, creativity, and top-tier customer service.

I first walked in on a Friday evening with my family, and the aroma alone was enough to make us hungry all over again. The restaurant was clean, well-lit, and had a cozy modern vibe. The staff greeted us with big smiles, explained the menu patiently, and even offered recommendations based on our dietary preferences.

What sets Pizza Twist apart is the fusion of Indian and traditional flavors. We tried the Butter Chicken Pizza and the Paneer Tikka Masala Pizza, and oh my God — these were next-level good. The crust was perfect (crispy on the edges, soft in the middle), and the toppings were generous and bursting with flavor. You could tell everything was made fresh.

For my vegetarian sister, they had plenty of options. She tried the Curry Veggie Pizza and the Vegan Garlic Sticks, and she’s been raving about it ever since. They also have gluten-free and cauliflower crust options, which is rare to find at most pizza chains.

If you like unique pizzas you will really enjoy Pizza Twist. If you love Indian flavors and spices you will love what they do on a pizza! You can customize your own pizzas and they have Gluten free options and Vegan options. If you like traditional pizza they serve these up as well, but why? The flavors are really nice and prices very reasonable. In speaking with the owners at this location (they are also the owners at the San Pablo location) the business is doing pretty good. I would really like this place to be successful in the area because it is nice to have a variety of different types of restaurants along this corridor. They opened this location in December 2021 and in the process of getting their liquor license. You can't go wrong with beer with your pizza! They offer indoor dining, take out and delivery.
