Lennys Grill & Subs — Restaurant in Hernando

I just had to walk out of here.... writing this review while eating elsewhere! Owner prefers to talk to some old lady and her husband for 5 minutes instead of cutting it short & actually taking her order.... I understand being friendly & chit chat... but after about 5 minutes I asked the husband if they came to order food or talk?? In this time another person had come in behind me and I told her good luck, I've been standing here 5 minutes as I walked out. I used to come here like 3 days a week, the owner lady is usually on top of it,, but I gave it a break because I got burnt out (plus food is not as good from the night crew, usually thrown together or wrong toppings at night) but after this total disregard for other people's time, it will be quite a while before I'm back in there. My time is valuable. Do not waste it. I try not to leave negative reviews, because these days you're lucky just to have enough employees to be open... but this was 100% voluntary and 100% by choice to ignore the line forming. Usually it's the customer that won't stop blabbing about their vacation.... but it was definitely a two way street today. I hope she reads this.... I've talked to her many times while in there, she's a very nice person, but this just rubbed me the wrong way today. I updated my 5 star review to this 1 star..... someday when I give it a try again, I will update...

So I have got to be honest...for the price I paid, I was not impressed.

I ordered one the Beef and Cheddar melts, and it was just awful. There was hardly any meat, no mushrooms or onions as pictured on the website. Sandwich was cold, and it's a melt. This was a $10+ sandwich and I could have gotten better, for cheaper, at Subway.

We got one sandwich we didn't even order in place of the meatball sub we were supposed to get. With my order being almost $40 for 4 people, I expected better. I've been told how good this place is, but my first impression of the food was terrible.

The only saving grace was the lady at the counter. My receipt said her name was Brittany. She was a doll. She even called us about the missing meatball sub.

Unfortunately, the food was horrible, and if paying this much for something considered a premium sandwich, I was really let down. First and last visit to Lenny's in...

It took me 45 minutes to get my order I paid for extra meat and what I got did not look like extra anything I said something to the manager (blonde early 60’s black polo and reading glasses) she said well you didn’t get lettuce or anything See attached photo I also observed this lady talking about customers including a lady that came in with her kids and used the restroom without buying anything She is obviously entitled to her opinions but if we (customers) can see and hear you that is not appropriate I was very disappointed because as I sat waiting I saw that the cashiers kept their gloves on for all transactions and then went back touching peoples food and no one was wearing a hair net in the entire restaurant Overall I like Lenny’s food but this could have been a much...
