My husband and I are what I would call regulars and I ALWAYS bring a throw because I freeze in there. Nothing different tonight. Our waitress brought his coffee and my coke and when she sat it on the table, she lost control of the coke and spilled it all over the two of us. I am upset but I keep my cool but I’m sure she could tell I wasn’t happy about the situation. She was very apologetic for the mishap but her mistake was going to the other woman in there because she was the least professional person I’ve EVER been in the presence of. She leaned down on the short bar and told our waitress that “no one down here will show you mercy, things happen”. Well I didn’t say anything to them but I did tell my husband “she obviously has no idea what mercy is because I didn’t go off nor did I get up and beat her ass”. My throw can only be spot cleaned, not washed, not dry cleaned, but spot cleaned therefore my throw is now ruined so yes I’m upset but I’m far more angry about the mouth on the other woman. This ridiculous and the worst experience I’ve ever had in my hometown Waffle House. Y’all seriously need to train your people to have respect for your patrons. They still charged us for the meal and offered nothing for ruining my throw. To top it off, all 3 of the women working walked out of the building talking about me and left us inside with the child of the mouthy employee. My husband wanted a coffee refill but we had to wait on the one who had nothing to do with any of it to come back inside to get it. Hernando Waffle House you seriously need to do far better then this. Very very disappointing. We won’t be back because of that one mouthy woman. She made the situation worse as far as we were concerned for...
Read moreWhile the food is typically fine, it’s a typical Waffle House, the service has been 50/50 as of late. In the mornings it’s typically pretty good, afternoon it’s fine, but these past few times I’ve gone later at night it’s not been the best.
I went recently after a long shift, just hoping to get a waffle and a drink before headed home for bed. I ended up being served by Ms. Ellen. While I got my food decently fast, I had to ask for my silverware, had to ask for straws twice. After I finished my food I sat there for about 5 minutes before asking my ticket. I’m used to it being brought along without asking, but it was no issue to me, people forget, that’s fine. She told me “One second” and helped some other customers. About 10 minutes later, she’s not brought it to me, still doing other things, even just standing around for a while. I ask again, she says “One sec” again and motions as if to say there’s so much going on. It was late at night and again, she’d been standing around just not doing anything. Another 5 minutes go by and I finally get the ticket. I stand up and go to pay and even then, I was standing there for serval minutes before I was able to...
Read moreMy family and I used to love going here I WAS a regular so much as the knew my order and even applied my discount without me asking. But I will never go back now. I don't know if management has changed or what but it seems unless you are of a certain race you will not be served at all. I sat here for over an hour after putting in my order woth not so much as a drink refill or sorry it's taking a while so when I stood up to pay for my 2 drinks trained something quite funny the only people receiving there food was a black family at the bar. None of the white patrons had been served. The fun y thing about that is there were atleast 4 people who had been in the before me and atleast another 4 to 5 after my arrival but none were served and then the people behind the counter wanted to have an attitude about me wanting to pay for my 2 drinks and leave. This place has gone down hill big time. I've held my reserve but this has kind of been this way the last 2 to 3 times I've been in there. Something needs to change but I won't know when it does cause I won't be...
