Las Islas Marias mariscos — Restaurant in Hesperia

This place gets two stars only because the food was at least decent and edible. The food is nothing extraordinary, but it still does taste and look like authentic Mexican seafood, even if not great tasting Mexican seafood. I do want to point out I went on a Sunday evening and so I don't know if I caught them on an off day, although I seriously doubt it. The restaurant is small and accomodates approximately 30 people at a time according to a "maximum occupancy" sign, so expect a small dining area. As far as service, thats where everything is lacking. The first person we encountered was acting very dry and acted like she didn't want to be there or want us to be there. She was very serious and did not crack a smile or seem interested in providing the least bit of customer service, we felt very uncomfortable, she took our drink orders and later came back with the same attitude. Luckily, there was another employee there who then took our orders, now by no means were her hostess skills amazing, but at least compared to our first server she was definitely an improvement. Went in for the 1st time with our family. As soon as we walked in we were hit with two men playing music for a table, which was ok but it was a small room and really loud. We asked if we could sit in the back tables and we were told that the area was closed. It was so loud the waitress couldn’t hear us well and we had to almost yell to hear each other. We asked if they would be playing for a while because our son had his ears covered and has autism. She said yes they were and would not accommodate us. We had no choice but to leave. It is a nice restaurant, located on Main Street in Hesperia! I have been here only once, in the month of July in 2021. The meal, that I have ordered was quite delicious. It was quite filling, that I had to bring left overs home. The prices for my meal were quite fair, and not on the expensive side. Nevertheless, the place was packed, and I had to wait. Still, the wait was worth it. The waitress, who attended my table, was friendly and helpful. The place itself, looked quite clean. So, if anyone is in Hesperia, I would recommend to stop by...
