If you would like to pass a really special birthday or anniversary or special occasion with delicious food then you need to go to LA ROMANITA RESTAURANT in Hialeah. Plenty of parking and an experience that you will remember. We went back again yesterday which was Sunday and we brought family with us to celebrate another birthday. They loved the atmosphere, and the food was amazing. Service fantastic, the food absolutely delicious and fresh from the gardens. The ambience from 1 to 10 I give it a 12. I had only been there once, a week ago, and the moment I walked in everybody came over and welcomed us. They asked me how everybody was doing and it made us feel at home. It's a place where once you go it will be part of your dining experience and you will enjoy it each time. You don't have to sit there and wonder if the food is going to be good because each time it's fantastic. It is homemade cooking , and it is like you're walking into the kitchen of your grandmother ! You could tell by the way that the staff in that restaurant treats the people that come in. It makes you feel like family. Yesterday I had the cocktail Sex on the Beach, Not only was it delicious, but like I said the first time, they are not cheap with their alcohol. It was in a large glass decorated with fresh mint inside, perfect and well worth the money. Their prices for their alcohol are very good, and they have quite a list of different drinks that you can order from. As soon as we sat down, the family that we brought with us was there before us and they started saying" you have to taste this.. shrimp wrapped in bacon, you have to taste this, fish croquetas, it's delicious. Taste this..omg delicious, ham croquetas" ! We knew that they really started enjoying the food from the moment they sat down. My husband had the pizza with the pork, I had pasta with clams, the flavor was amazing and reminded me of a very special restaurant in New York that we used to go to all the time. My mother-in-law had the Cream of Malanga soup and chicken. The food is not only arranged very lovely on the plates, but they use fresh mint fresh basil and everything else fresh to decorate the plates. I highly recommend La Romanita Restaurant in Hialeah. We are already planning another birthday to go there. I love the attention we get from the staff, the servers are amazing, and when we walk in it's as if we walked in to see family. Thank you LA ROMANITA RESTAURANT for making another birthday fantastic! See you soon! Lenore Croce*5 STARS ( I would actually give...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHidden Gem! Can't wait to go back! I've passed this place so many after watching them open. Finally we decided to try them out and I must say I was pleasantly sirrosed! We had the grilled octopus, and I must say it was grilled to perfection and so tender! The bed of hummus it rested on made the dish a match made in heaven! We also had the fish croquettes, which was good, but the octopus stole the show! The lobster bisque came next and was so creamy with the perfect balance of flavors. My only complaint was that I wish it had more lobster chunks! The La Tuna China entree came out, and I was surprised and how moist the yellowfin tuna was and how crispy and flavourful the breading that coated it was... Now the shrimp stir fry rice, I must say, needs to be a side or a dish on its own. A Star on its own, I wish i could pair it with other items like the whole snapper which the waiter said we could not as that was the initial plan and how we ended with the Tuna that did not dissapoint! Service was not bad, but we had a young waiter that just needed to learn to pay attention to details like knowing when to clear the table of empty plates. My empty lobster bisque bowl stayed on the table until the check came. Also, I ordered a passion fruit margarita to was delicious and when I asked for another he brought a classic margarita and insisted it was another passion fruit until we explain to him the obvious fact that it wasn't even the same orange color as the last drink. However, these are minor complaints compared to the amazing food and relaxing environment of the restaurant. I MUST SAY THIS WILL BE MY NEW SPOT...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely poor service. Went for lunch on a weekday for 9 people. We were all given a menu but there was 3 different menus apparently new ones and old ones. The old menus had food they no longer offer. So whoever got an old one had to find something else when it came time to order. Food came out for 6 of us. Other 3 no food came out. We waited a couple minutes to see if it was just waiting to be brought to our table but it wasn't. Waitress didn't even notice. She was standing above our table the entire time. How could she not see 3 people didn't have food and the other 6 did not start eating? I told the waitress and since you can see the kitchen you can see the chef just now starting to make the pizzas as she told him to. Waitress just came and said the first pizzas came out bad. We had all finished eating and still no food for the other 3. The GM comes out and he didn't do anything as the food was finally coming out. 15 minutes between the first 6 people getting fed and the last 3. Neither the waitress or GM offered an apology. They check came, I figured maybe they took a pizza off or gave us a free dessert, but nothing. I asked for the GM again, and he looked over at me and went into his office. He sent the waitress out with $25 gift card to come dine again. I laughed and said that it won't be happening and to apply the gift card to the check. I could care less about the $25. I was honestly looking for a legit apology. Instead, I got excuses and a cold shoulder. We had all just come from a funeral. The food was mediocre at best and definitely not...
