I waited a few minutes to be sat at a table and when I was I felt like I had 4 different servers. First one that came spilled water all over my table. Second one brought me a wine list for bottle only when I asked for options by the glass. I just wanted a simple glass of Cabernet. Then a third person brought me a glass of red wine (don’t know which one because I never ordered it) and when I tried it, it tasted like it’s been open for two days. When I finally get to order my food with one of the servers, I order a 14 ounce churrasco and ask for it medium rare. I repeated myself three times how I wanted it cooked because of everything that’s happened so far. Literally in under a minute my meal was at my table. My thought was either they had one back there ready to go and they were trying to make me happy with fast service, or the meat was raw. Of course it was the second one. It came out so fast because they threw that meat on the grill for one second and put it in front of me. It wasn’t edible. Couldn’t even cut it. I was so disappointed I just got up and left. If I had time I would have sat with the manger to express my concerns but I came here for my lunch break. It’s just crazy because I’ve been here once before and I enjoyed my service and meal. For some reason today just wasn’t their day. I’m not sure but after that I’m never coming back.

It was okay, great service and big portions! What I got a couple of items to share - Plantain chips, fried fish and liver steak (bonus Oxtail). The plantain chips came out warm, not sure if it is homemade or not, I do appreciate that it wasn't salty and the dipping sauce for this was great great (be warned, garlic-y), the liver steak was okay, cooked well with the onions on top. The fried fish I wish was better, it was not fresh.. so we got the oxtail which was so tender and soft! Very surprised by that. The mixed season rice has these pork rinds on it and it was no where near chewable... The white bean soup has okay, but it had pork/meat which I was surprised it had. Environment It was very late for me, so I didn't see much on the outside, but I was able to park very close to the restaurant on the back. The inside was very spacious with a lot of booth seating. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff and attentive. I wish that the waiter was a little more descriptive about the dishes though. i.e when I asked about the white bean soup, they left out the important details that there was pork in the soup as well. The server was very nice to swap out the fish dish that was not as fresh but I was surprised that the cost did not reflect the new dish name... Dollar It was mid-pricing. The total for the 3 dishes was 80. Yes I will try somewhere else.

after over 10 years of not going back I wanted to give this old school favorite restaurant a shot. Omg what a disappointment! I went to have mid day lunch with my husband. 2 meals (Ravo encendió $34 and polo empalizado mid size $20, Marquita $10, 2 beers @ 8 each and 1 can sofa at $4). The meals were all on the small/regular size portion and when we got the bill and I added 17.00 tip which is 18% since the waiter was excellent the bill was $107!!!! What the hell to eat lunch In Hialeah!!! What does this owner think that he has a 5 start restaurant in coral gables!! I have to say the staff was like always the best service but the prices !!! No way!!! Sadly we would never go back again and I will spread the word! . Oh and let me tell you about there iconic bread … now they have a new policy. They want to charge $1.00 ( one dollar) for four pieces of bread and four butter. This is a restaurant that you spent over $100. How ridiculous can this be? I guess the owner forgot where his roots were. It’s OK, if he keeps on he’ll be closing down pretty soon because he won’t have customers or repeat customers coming back or at least not as regularly, for sure. There are many good Latin food places in hialeah with better portions and prices, that outshines this place, How sad to foresee an iconic restaurant go under. !!! And all because of pricing !

I grew up in Hialeah and this restaurant was a staple however i moved years ago. I brought my mother here for lunch after a Dr. Appt on a weekday and arrived at 1015. The server was very kind, attentive, and accomodating. Apparantly, they dont start the lunch/dinner menu until 11. We were starving so just had from their breakfast menu. All breakfasts come with a cafe con leche and a tostada. I have a dairy intolerance, and i dont think theyre very well aware that butter is dairy, so i had to play it very safe with my order after speaking with the server. Even when i ordered the tostada without bitter, it arrived all buttered. Server was very kind and replaced it for me. They do not offer milk options aside from regular milk, so i got a plain cafecito and it was great. Now for the food.

Quite average. I ordered the steak and eggs, but mentioned i enjoyed palomilla steak more than a baby sirloin and the server was very qccompdating and made that change for me. It came with two sunnyside up eggs and fries. The steak was not very flavorful, it was quite dry and tasted freezer burnt. The fries were the highlight of the plate with how soft yet crunchy they were and the eggs were quite greasy (which i am not used to, but they tasted alright and i cannot complain when theyre advertised as friend eggs). I ended up making a sandwhich with my tostada and plated food. My mother got a vegetable omlette with fries. She said her omlete was tasty, but greasy. She also opted for a hot chocolate rather than coffee as we had already had coffee in the morning and she said it tasted great, though she would have prefered a milk other than whole. By the time my mother and i completed our meals, they had their regular menu out and i brought home pork chunks woth rice, beans, and maduros for my fiance and a tamale for myself. They were soft, but again, quite greasy. Sincerely, i believe this restaurant offers way too many food options without thinking about quality and freshness, just layering on seasonings. I also wish yhey focused on healthier options such as baking empanadas or other foods or using spray oils to assist with the grease component.

As for the vibe, they really try to maintian that old-school cuban high dining vibe. The staff was very kind to us. The patrons are what ruined it for me. I was gawked at by three men in a booth whistling and talling disrespectfully amongst themselves while i was standing at the bar speaking to my server asking where the restroom was. I sincerely do not miss this part of Hialeah in any way. I was wearing black pants and a large jacket šŸ™„

Will i be back? Likely not. This reataurants food quality has gone down from what it used to be growing up. Fast forward to a few hours later and i regret my food choices for today with...

Disappointed and Insulted – Molina has Changed for the Worse I’m sad to say that what used to be a favorite local Cuban spot in Hialeah has gone downhill—badly. I went for lunch with my husband and two friends. My friend and I both ordered the baby churrasco (skirt steak) special. She received what she ordered. I, however, was brought what was clearly a palomilla steak (cube steak) instead. I’m a Miami native —I know the difference between a churrasco and a bistec palomilla! This wasn’t even a close call. I politely mentioned it to the server, not to make a fuss, but to avoid being charged the higher price for a dish I didn’t receive. Instead of fixing it, he doubled down and called the manager. That’s when things got insulting. The manager claimed it was a skirt steak and said they ā€œcut and pound it themselvesā€ because ā€œthat’s what Cubans do.ā€ Really? Funny, because my friend’s skirt steak (which was correct) wasn’t pounded at all. Let me make this clear: you don’t pound skirt steak. That’s not a thing. I wasn’t trying to make a scene—I had already started eating and simply asked not to be charged the higher price. He offered to bring me another steak. Sir, I already started eating this steak I did not want another one just charge me correctly. But no that would be logical. He gave no apology, no courtesy, and no respect for a long-time customer. I ended up being charged full price for a dish I didn’t receive—$5 more than the price of the bistec palomilla listed on the menu. The final bill was $148 before tip for lunch for four plus a $5 credit card fee. This restaurant used to feel like home. Now it just feels like a tourist trap with overpriced food, additional fees and no regard for customer service. Definitely won’t be back—and I’ll be letting others know to...

My husband and I came to this restaurant for lunch. We were never greeted and the staff that did "attend" to us were rude. We wait and stand at the door for about 2 maybe 3 minutes to be seated. Because, you know, there's a sign that says "please wait to be seated". Eventually, a waitress points at us to walk to the end of the restaurant and sit ourselves in a specific area. She tells us this from across the room as she is walking towards us. So we do as told and start to walk to where she pointed for us to sit. Halfway there and another waiter stops us telling us to sit on the opposite side of the room. So we follow the waiter to the opposite side of the room. My husband does not speak Spanish so he points back to where the first waitress told us to sit asking me to ask the waiter if we can sit at a booth instead of the tables he was taking us to. I then start to ask the waiter in Spanish if we can sit at a booth instead. He completely cuts me off not allowing me to even finish my question telling me no. He proceeds to ask me if I cannot see that the table my husband pointed at is reserved for 6 people. No, I did not see that the table was reserved because it is impossible to see through walls and bodies walking by. We did not want that specific booth, we just preferred a booth over tables. The waiter sat us down, gave us 2 menus and walked away. Still no greeting. No one offered us a drink, no one mentioned specials. Nothing. After explaining to my husband why we were seated at a table instead of a booth, we got up and left. Never have we ever received poor service at any restaurant we've visited. The employees at McDonalds are more welcoming than the employees at this restaurant were. Oh and parking is a pain. Good luck if you have a...
