Mr. Scott Gillie Managing Director, Fairchild Head of Fairchild Franchise Finance
Dear Mr. Gillie,
I hope this letter finds you and your wife, Rosalind, in good health. I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the recent re-opening of Rally's in Hickory, North Carolina, and I believe your immediate intervention is absolutely crucial to ensure its success.
Drawing from your extensive expertise as a Managing Director at Fairchild and the head of Fairchild Franchise Finance, it is clear that you have been involved in all aspects of restaurant franchising throughout your illustrious career. Your notable achievements in franchises such as Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen and Checkers Drive-Thru systems, including securing franchisor approvals, spearheading funding efforts, and overseeing construction, highlight your deep understanding of the industry.
However, it is with great concern that I bring to your attention the operational challenges currently plaguing the Hickory Rally's location. The issues of unprofessional behavior exhibited by certain employees, stock shortages of key menu items, and the failure to integrate into the local community have all contributed to a less-than-ideal launch.
Considering your prior experience in operational turnaround and new unit openings, your insights and guidance are invaluable in addressing these issues promptly. Moreover, your previous roles in franchise sales and development at prominent quick-service restaurant companies, including El Pollo Loco, Johnny Rockets, Arby’s, and Dairy Queen, demonstrate your proficiency in training, site selection, and identifying prospective franchisee operators.
Your role in spearheading franchise development and sales for various companies across the United States, along with your extensive knowledge of major metro areas, positions you as a key figure in the industry. Your achievements in taking strong regional chains to new markets, signing major development deals, and expanding national brands are exemplary.
In light of your impressive track record, I am confident that your involvement can lead to the successful resolution of the issues faced by Rally's in Hickory. I urge you to consider these challenges seriously and take immediate action, drawing upon your extensive knowledge and expertise to ensure the franchise's long-term viability.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter, Mr. Gillie. With your leadership, Rally's in Hickory can overcome these challenges and become a valuable addition to the Fairchild...
Read moreCheckers you've been a cherished operation an appreciatingly long time in our Hky area. But why does it seem a concerted effort to demolish all that strength earned ? Its been 2 recent visits tanked when choosing checkers. Plz get crew functional, optimal, bz focused, precision performance sound speed don't let it go under ... Run into the same quality that was there before covid cz Hickory needs our Checkers !
P.S. Checkers. That last visit, had sister friend (long duration) along for the visit to our Hky Checkers. She even used to work for checkers years ago. She also very suprised at how far the disappointed how far down the hatch food quality had become. I went thru more of your reviews. This is same problems not fixed from 5 months ago, left side still not open of drive thru (causing nearly 17 min delays) sitting for very long line in right lane annnd causing great risk for vehicular accidents to your patrons sitting out there on main traffic road waiting to even get in line on right Lane. Neighboring Patron businesses are experiencing clogged reduced traffic conditions busy Starbucks, the highschool, Lowes foods/ gas station, and the just recently upgraded 14th Ave Grill that rebuilt for larger crowds from their originsl location where theyd been for community 20+ years all your neighbor businesses that for 5+ months this has created enormous complications traffic wise, and causing 4 other businesses significant business shortage by keeping that intersect not freeflowing. Thats significant drop in 4 other businesses, in prime real estate where they also pay significant sums to maintain their locations, Checkers. Contribute to resolution. Whats wrong that it is still in such profit losing status, as to keep an entire left side traffic drive thru completely closed for 5+ months ?
Trying to bring about bankruptcy?
Don't mean to be harsh but Ive come to this location since my eldest was maybe 10. In years, never seen this premium location store left in derelict condition the whole nearly 20 years ever, food quality was always very good....
Read moreI wanted to provide an update on my recent visit to Checkers in Hickory, North Carolina. I am pleased to report that my experience during this visit was significantly better compared to my previous ones, which gives me hope that the restaurant is making positive changes in response to feedback.
First and foremost, I must commend the front-line crew member, the drive-thru operator, who served me during my visit. His performance was nothing short of exceptional. As a former Business Development manager for a Fortune 500 company, I can confidently say that I would study him and consider placing him in a position to duplicate his outstanding customer service skills. He was a tall, middle-aged dark skinned gentleman who displayed remarkable poise, delivered a pitch-perfect interaction, maintained efficient service speed, and demonstrated impeccable knowledge of the menu. His professionalism was truly commendable.
Furthermore, unlike my experiences in the past few weeks, everything I ordered was in stock during this visit. It was a relief to finally find essential items such as ice, cheese sticks, chicken strips, and ice cream.
The food itself, being what one would expect from a drive-thru burger joint, met my expectations. Even at 11:00 p.m., the quality and taste were consistent with what I had hoped for.
I must note that Cookout, which is less than a mile down the road, was bustling with business, with both drive-thru lanes full. This indicates that there is a demand for quality fast food in this area, and Checkers has the potential to capture a significant share of this market.
Mr. Gillie and the Fairchild team, the residents of Hickory, would welcome and appreciate such improvements.
Warm...
