Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Hickory

I've been coming to this place for years and its been great every time! Though when I went this time, the new employee got my order wrong, which was fine! The manager however, tried to push the wrong item on me, which wasn't appreciated, then seemed to fuss at the employee who took our order, unacceptable. In food service, mishearing/misunderstanding the customer happens, especially if you're new and unfamiliar with things. But i found the old lady that seemed to be the manager made a big fuss about it in front of my girlfriend and I, which was totally unnecessary and inappropriate! Wrong orders happen all the time in food services. And instead of making and unnecessary deal out of it or trying to push an item i didnt want onto me, she should have just said sorry and moved on! Again, great staff, just disrespectful management. Hopefully in the future, management will actually try to be helpful towards their staff rather than be pushy and rude. Again this review has nothing to do with the amazing staff working or the ice cream (which is always amazing), but simply how i saw this manager treat her staff, completely uncalled for! Been here a few times and always had nice and friendly staff but today an older woman picked up the phone and I couldn’t even get her name because she was so rude and short and hung the phone up on me while I was talking. It was the first time I ever placed a curbside order because today I had my special needs child with me and is not able to stand on a line for a long period of time. The app showed that curbside was available at this location so I did that instead. It said to call when I’m there so they can bring my order out. The person who picked up the phone, who did sound like a much older woman was really rude and nasty. All she had to do was tell me in a decent way that I had to come to the window because curbside wasn’t an option, but instead she was nasty and hung up the phone on me in the middle of me asking her if curbside wasn’t available? Everytime I come to Dairy Qween in Longview, NC. I always get a Banana Split, I've learned from several trips their the Bananas are always rotten, I have said something several times and they still serve them anyway, I've watched different employees cut a Banana open looking through the window and you can see dark black spots all in the Banana, I told the guy I was eating that and told him I watched him peel that rotten banana, so he walks back and show the owner/Manager and he just looked at me like I had a problem because I wouldn't except it like that .
