Firehouse Subs Hickory — Restaurant in Hickory

Went to this location and ordered a sub. Waited 15 minutes before I got to the window but there were two cars ahead of me… no big deal. I paid for my order and waited an additional 15 minutes before I could no longer continue to wait. I ordered one sandwich nothing else and no special requests. I waved at the girl who had been standing at the window the entire time. She opened the door and I asked her for a refund. I told her I had waited 30 minutes and could not continue to wait. She was like I’m sorry what do you expect me to do. I asked her for my money back. She continued to fumble around and I finally just said fine I have got to go I’ll call. I called and the manager refused to refund my money. She claimed she was the only one making subs for all these people. Who I wonder, Casper and his army? The entire parking lot and store was empty. She claimed she was the only one on the line making food. There was three other employees I counted wondering around aimlessly while I waited. Two of which sat and played on their phone talking and laughing. I asked her why it would take 30 minutes to make a singular sandwich and if she couldn’t make that in 30 minutes there was something wrong. She continued to refuse to provide me a refund. I absolutely love firehouse subs! My favorite fast food restaurant, honestly. Well at least it was. There are 2 locations near me. We went to Hwy 70 for years and always had subpar service with good food but extremely long wait times (43 minutes on 1 occasion) When the Viewmont location opened we were thrilled. We have frequently visited this store and it has previously been a good experience but this has rapidly declined. I received an email toady about the 12 days of deals and that medium and large subs were BOGO so i had waited all day to have dinner with my husband at the Viewmont location. In the app the offer would not show up dispite all troubleshooting. Upon arriving i brought this to the cashier's attention who repeated over and over that there is mothing she can do and she isn't able tp honor the deal. Ok, fine, we placed an order and payed full price for our food. All the tables were dirty, diet drinks taste awful. Most employees seem to lack care in upkeep and food prep. I also have a disgusting photo of deplorable kitchen conditions wherr food prep is actively happening. Seriously disappointed. Expected a premium sub after paying a premium price. This is the 3rd and probably final time I will be ordering from this firehouse subs. Out of the three times I’ve been they’ve given me the right order once and I order two sandwhiches everytime one for me and my boyfriend, both were wrong. Everytime has been for lunch inbetween work, so my boyfriend only really has time to order and drive straight back to work. So we can’t really check our sandwhiches until getting back to work. I understand messups happen sometimes but when you’re simply not getting what you order at all it’s a little aggravating. We ordered pretty simply again a medium hook and ladder and a medium turkey bacon ranch with no tomatoes. This is what we got (see pics) (mind you I’m allergic to mushrooms). The one looks pretty similar to what I ordered but it’s not it’s clearly someone else’s. It’s missing three things and three different things were added to it.
