12/16/2023 this drive thru was a clusterfk this morning. the guy taking orders seemed lost & somebody musta ordered something for the whole neighborhood the line was at such a stand-still I LEFT

i DO WISH google told me WHICH McD's its asking about i'll post & see where google puts it & revise prn

but i did stop by the fairgrove conover location around lunch yesterday

i parked in #7 & found a BOGO QP w/ Cheese deal in the app & decorated them in my usual NO Ketchup fashion

after about 10 mins, as i had just gotten the usual McMobile receipt email HERE SHE COMES

she was apologetic about the time but told me she checked the order & everything was fine

FAMOUS FIRST WORDS JEOPARDY CATEGORY FOR $1000

it was somebody's special well done plain bacon burger (ick)

& the other burger had KETCHUP GOBS OF KETCHUP (double ick)

as she was delivering another order i flagged her down "i KNOW you told me you checked the order, its the correct bag & sticker, but someone else's burgers are in MY bag"

she took my sticker & asked if i wanted the burgers stating they would only toss them (OK - you just made a bunch of cats happy)

more than the Great Burgers i was IMPRESSED with the girl's persona & professionalism in getting it McRight

additionally i have to say Fairgrove is my favorite McD's in the area & today's visit doesn't blemish my perception of this location, it only reinforces why i drive past another McD's just to get here

The short toothless wonder that tries to be the God of McDonald’s has gave me attitude numerous times and today I was fed up. I’m collecting the 100th anniversary Disney toys and I just stopped in and asked her if she could tell me the numbers on the box and very loudly so everybody hear her. She yells WE DONT SELL THEM SEPARATELY. I just kinda laughed and said so since when. she says Very loudly again, NEVER AND WE ONLY SELL HAPPY MEALS STARTING AT LUNCH YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE THEM IN A HAPPY MEAL. I said, so this is the only McDonald’s doing that she says no they are all doing it or they better be and when they do sell them we are not getting the money they are worth MY MANAGER SAID I CANT SELL THEM THAT WAY. I just laughed and said OK. Honey, it’s McDonald’s for God sake and it’s a happy meal toy. Why so serious? I had another issue with her in the past where I’d place an online order when I put up to the window to tell them my number they were not opening until 630 due to staff. I said well I’ve already placed my order. She said we don’t have any orders, so I just parked my car and I walked in and my order was right there on the screen and After I had spoke with her and told her there it is, she walks away, and then some lady walked around the front and called out my order. I clearly let that go because I work in retail and I understand low staff but… at this point she just pulling her weight around. She doesn’t own McDonald’s and I’ve been from here to Pennsylvania to Tennessee and they all sold them to me singly without a problem. This McDonald’s has a great atmosphere and is very clean. Once again I had to stop here and change clothes. I wish these new places to put your boats in came with at least a Porta potty.

I came in to get a snack and change my clothes for the long ride home. Once again me and my sister had been kayaking on Lake Norman. When I stop anywhere to use their facilities I always try and buy something.

I have talked about how much I appreciate this McDonald’s before. I took some new pictures. It is very new and everything is pretty. The sun was in my eyes. The pictures aren’t great.

The only thing I had a problem with was the price. When I ordered a medium sprite. I was told “size not available. This size only.” One size. That was all?? Then I ordered a small fry. “This size is not available. We only have the large. If you want it this is what you get”.

So that was kinda confusing. So instead of spending under $5 dollars for a drink and fries. I spent over $6.00. Which I didn’t understand.

Remember when it was on the dollar menu??

What’s up? I really left wondering when I got to my car about the size thing. Did I just get ripped off? I had never been told “this size or nothing”. And then it wasn’t a very nice experience.
