Village Inn Pizza - Mountain View — Restaurant in Hickory

Got there at 720p with my family. We each ordered the buffet. I had 2 slices of pizza because despite a full group of people present, the staff didnt want to make more pizza. We stayed until closing. They were reluctant to bring more pizza. For a buffet. The same 2 garlic breads that were present at 720p were present til the end. It wasnt until a few customers who were patiently grazing on the salad bar asked for more, did they replace the 6 empty pizza spots with 1 pizza-- half pepperoni, half cheese. Not even 1 full of each. As you can imagine, it was gone immediately as all the customers raced to it. They didnt replace any dessert pizza until asked and they added 1. Also gone as soon as it dropped. Perhaps it is better at lunch but I don't think 7pm customers deserve less food than the ones at noon. I can appreciate not wasting food but the customers who paid for a buffet, and waited for their meals, should get their buffet. I felt sorry the little boy with his grandpa who kept circling the bar hoping for more pizza. It was pitiful. Pizza quality was fine when it came.

Bottom line, you're better off ordering a large pizza at the same price and actually getting pizza to eat. That's what we'll consider doing if we...

I really hate giving this a star that it doesn't deserve But I had to in order to make a review. I was so disgusted when I saw The teen kitchen staff drop a pan on the floor and then pick it up and put it Away the the teenagers we're not wearing Gloves washing hands or or putting out fresh pizzas. The pizzas that were out there were cold and Hard and impossible to eat They were wiping their hands on your clothes plus they were trying to refill. The salad bowls Were we filled with the same scoop for the different toppings and then put into the glass container? The vegetables run. the same they're used the scoop without any. ThenF put the scoop in to the food container the store back into the fridge. I Hope to god that I don't get sick from this.,,,...this WAS THE WORST PIZZA IVE EVER HAD!!!!!!!!! I am AMAZED. We’re a family of 4. A 2 year old and a fresh 1 year old. Walking in it’s very clean (obviously it’s freshly built), but there’s a Busser making round every 10 minutes picking up empty plates and garbage, everything was getting wiped down every so often. The salad bar was clean- no cross contamination going on. My husband went up to get a cheese pizza and the pizzas are on a timer and as he went to grab one they were tossing an ‘old’ one. And he told my husband that all their pizzas are served fresh.

Now to my parents- we’ve all been to a restaurant needing a highchair and they’ve sat you down and you ask for one and the host goes “oh umm well we can’t sit you here then because of the hot plates and you needing a highchair…” THAT awkward conversation. Their booths are cut at an angle on one side- TO ACCOMMODATE THAT HIGHCHAIR! I have never seen a booth cut like that before and it honestly helped so much in my opinion. Now we sat for an hour and we were 1 of 2 tables in there- maybe 20 minutes before we left it started to get busy. Their cleaning, bussing, and serves only got BETTER. Our NEW favorite...
