I am extremely disappointed. I was humiliated and the staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. I came to Made Up North for the Holidays with my 2 kids ages 8 and 10. I was working from home that day but wanted to take kids shopping. I set up my lap top in the seating area and ordered lunch for the kids. While we were waiting for food to be prepared, kids were looking around and I was trying to set up my lap top to answer a few emails. Food came and kids set at dining area to eat. My 10 year old daughter moved the chair to sit closer to her brother but the chair squeeked. The rude staff member told in a yelling, rude, abrasive voice to my daughter to stop playing with the chair because it can break!! Mind you these are chairs they have designated for people to sit and eat. Apparently if you move these chairs in certain way, they can break?!?! I was mind blown at what she said and at the tone of the voice she used! Then, when I told her my daughter was not playing with chair she then proceeded to tell me my kids were out of line for playing with some lights while they were waiting for food and I was on my computer. Mind you, I am a business professional. I wasn’t playing solitaire on my computer. Just trying to catch up on important work emails. I work in the industry where I help seriously injured clients. I then asked the lady who is her manager. Then she got even angrier and insulted me and my kids further. I was flabbergasted! I was planning on shopping there but left the store to never come back again!!! I then took my kids to the little store next door with the cat and kids had a blast! The lady at that store let kids play with cat and explore the store and she was so nice and we shopping our hearts out! Please be ware if rude, unprofessional staff at this store and under no circumstances take your kids there! My kids were not obnoxious. They were embarrassed and scarred by...
Read moreI was staying in town for a wedding and was a walkable distance from Made UP NORTH. The staff was very friendly and helpful with my questions. The food and coffee was delicious. I went there with my baby and he loved walking around the little shop there and looking at everything while we waited for our food. I only managed to get a picture of their current seasonal drinks. I tried the butterscotch cream cold brew and the cookie crumble latte and both were good. I will definitely visit again if we're ever in town...
Read moreThis is an interesting place. I had coffee and a homemade strawberry Pop Tart. I got my grandchildren delicious chocolate chip cookies. This is only a small part of the store. There is a selection of jewelry, clothing, ceramic items, etc. made by local artisans and craftsmen. There is also a kitchen area thst looked like it was for demonstrations or classes. My daughter signed up for a craft workshop. It is a gem tucked into a small northern...
