Fine pastries, poor for a diner. Very limited menu. Maybe 6 options for breakfast, 6 for lunch. Arrived at 11:08am. Breakfast service stops promptly at 11am. The menu is very limited. Would not take much additional effort to serve both breakfast and lunch (all dozen items) all the way from open until 2pm when they close. Frustrated because this business is not well described in Google. It is a bakery and pastry shop. Not a great place for a meal. Wanted to come out for a warm, fresh breakfast. We want to support locally owned and operated business. We chose poorly this time. There are many other options nestled in this beautiful town.

She was the one who brought out my food too and after I said "thank you" she just walked away and didn't acknowledge me.. maybe just an off day but I don't know if I'll want to go back the next time I'm in town.

First time in Roscommon and really liked what I found. Especially The Bird and The Bear Bakery. The staff were so friendly and helpful. We took their recommendations and they were all wonderful. If you are planning on staying near Higgens Lake, wait to get your bread, baked goods and cherry chicken salad until here.

Quaint cute bakery with fresh pastries. I was in town only for the night and knew when we pulled in, everything must be good. It was packed and that’s a great sign from the locals that they have some great things inside. Walked in and purchased some pre-packed chocolate chip & peanut butter cookies as well as some things from their pastry case. I asked the nice girl working behind the counter what were some of her favorites and she nicely gave me some suggestions. I decided to take a s’mores brownie & a molasses twist pastry home with me. My friend purchased some homemade breads and cookies as well. I’m not a huge sweets eater but I have to say that all of the items I purchased were AMAZING & I can’t wait to come back up north so I can stop back for more!...

My 70 Year Old Mother came here, Management or Owner said she needed to pay $5 just to sit inside this place!! She didn't even use the restroom. Staff member also told her she needed to move seats because she was just 1 person in a big 5 person table... She didn't want to sit in a high top table because she has ahard time getting up to them, So she went to sit outside. Luckily other customers offered her a lower table and listening to this staff member the way they were talking to her. No wonder a hiring sign is up! Bad management sad way to treat seniors cheaply ran establishment. Another customer this staff member messed up their order. This customer wanted two free donuts they only gave him 1 free donut for...
