I come to this Mickey D on plank rd regularly with kids. I always joke around with the staff too uplift their spirits and attempt to be the ideal customer. I always order the big breakfast with bacon for my kids to split and either a crispy chicken or BEC for myself. A week ago my order was wrong and after noticing I called to inform them. I was not irate I simply said I understand how it is but a replacement would be nice. Due to unfortunate circumstances I was not able to make it the next day. Knowing this while I was placing my order I explained this to the woman whom told me to pull around to the window. I still ordered my crispy chicken and paid for it. Once at the 1st window I further explained the situation and was told it would be handled. Once at the 2nd window I received the food I paid for but was rudely redirected to come inside of the store to resolve my issue. Once inside I was told I had to pay for my food. This is only upsetting because at both windows I stated if you don't recall the situation because it was a week ago I'll pay for the food because my kids and I had to eat regardless. But to be told it would be handled inside and then the general manager telling another employee I have to pay without truly acknowledging me and having her back turned towards me the entire time. I felt severely disrespected and my time wasted. Before I just walked out Melody comes to the rescue and remembers the conversation I had with her and gave me the order for free.
This isn't a complaint but if the general manager would of took 5-10 seconds to ask the othe supervisor she is on duty with everyday (i say this bc i always see them work together) then it could of been resolved without me having to come inside. I still plan on using this mickey d as my primary location but as a loyal customer I would appreciate a little understanding or at least the ATTEMPT to understand. I mean it wasn't even busy like it was the day my order got...
Read moreWorst drive-thru service I can remember. The young lady that took our order/money-(1st window), no issues. The 2nd window, howeverâŚwas a different story!
Three cackling teens, grouped together yapping, one girl opens the window, never acknowledging usâŚ.& as we checked our order, kept trying to get us to move, even though we made it clear that sheâd left out several items weâd ordered, she still told us to move up, rather than rectify.
Needless to say, I had to get out, go inside restaurant to retrieve the items weâd PAID FOR, yet not receivedâŚnoting that the three cackling young girls were still in full throttle âYAK-MODEâ, no efforts being made to correct our order!
This particular McDonaldâs ALWAYS leaves items off orders!?! Is this calculated? If one was to tally all drive-thru orders placed/paid for throughout an entire business day & the amount of customers that actually arrive at their homes/destinations, only to realize theyâd been shorted re their ordersâŚ.ADDS UP TO A LOT OF MONEY!
This is essentially stealing. Mistakes happen, but with this locationâŚit is common practice!
Employees are a direct reflection of management & their practices/work ethic. It should not be difficult to read an order ticket & place the items ordered in a bag! Im quite certain they donât have trouble pecking out & reading text messages!
If this process âISâ challenging, then they should either get more training, or quit, but rudeness & inadequacy should not reflect on the customer!
I would highly suggest visiting the N. Main or Palladium locations, as opposed to these CLOWNS at Old Plank Rd., unless you want to experience rudeness & pay for food you will...

Thatâs about all the positive things I can say about this McDonaldâs. Iâve been through their drive-thru countless times (my family likes the food, and itâs very close to home), and probably 90% of the time I either have a bad experience (a ridiculously long wait, employees that ignore you for minutes on end when dining in, etc.), or they get my order wrong. In in the drive-thru,Iâve been told to âpull aheadâ to the designated parking spot soooooo many times. They just never seem to have food ready on-hand. Or theyâre just insanely slow.
I was there last night and was the third person in the drive-thru line. Both cars in front of me waited and waited and waited at the food pickup window. Neither of them had large orders from what I could see. When I finally made it to the window, my food was sitting on the counter waiting for me. No telling how long it had been there.
Delays happen. Maybe the people in front of me had complicated orders. Just acknowledging the length of my wait would have gone a long way. Instead I was just handed my bag and that was that.
More than once, Iâve gotten personal calls from managers at this store responding to issues Iâve experienced. Usually they offer me a coupon for a free value meal or something. Which is nice. But the coupons come with an apology and a pledge to do better â and nothing EVER gets better.
Iâve been to good McDonaldâs stores. Sadly, this is not one of them. They just donât seem to care much about...
