Peggs Restaurant On the Boulevard — Restaurant in High Ridge Township

I have been to Peggs twice. The first time was last year for Valentines Day and though the food was very good the service had alot to be desired. We had ordered some wings along with an appetizer platter and though we received the appetizers quickly it took forever to get the wings. We were told they were just finishing them up. 20 minutes later they finally showed up at the table. We ended up just taking them home. Then we went back this past weekend as we were in the area and had family with us that had never been. We had 3 separate orders which were placed back to back. First order comes out and something was left off the order. We asked the person that delivered it to the table and it still took another 15 minutes to get it. The 3rd order which was two sandwiches took over 40 minutes to get and that order was incorrect as well. Went to counter to complain and the girl said I'll get the manager. The person that came was very young and had attitude. After about a 10 minute of a complaining session she finally told us fine I will refund your money(on the last order) and you can never come back again. Then when she brought the money to the table it was thrown on the table very rudely and then she decided to tell me how she was having a bad day which is not something you need to tell to a customer. I've been here twice and although my first experience was decent, my second was very poor due to an unnecessarily long wait time.

I came here on a busy Saturday night with my husband, his parents, and my sister. We placed our orders (for dine in) at 6:18 pm and sat at our table to wait. After about 30 minutes we received one of our two appetizers (cheesy garlic bread). In this time there were many people coming in to place carry out orders, waiting 10 minutes, and leaving with their food. There were also a few tables that arrived after us and were served already. We continued waiting for 20 more minutes before my mother-in-law asked the worker at the counter about our order. He said he'd check on it and got back to us saying, "They're dishing it up now," but we continued waiting for another 10 minutes or so before receiving our food (we all had sandwiches with fries, easy orders.) A young woman, possibly the manager although I don't know for sure, came out to give us our food and proceeded to complain to us about how busy it was and offer us nothing but excuses for our wait. Our second appetizer (boneless wings) finally came out a few minutes after our dinners had. Our meal had been paid for along with the tip so they had nothing to work for at this point. I've been here about 5 times now with carry out only. I normally only get for myself, and sometimes one other and it's mainly salad (because they do have good salad). Twice now the salad has been wrong. One time it was missing the meat and this time I had asked for a chef with added black olives and received a deluxe which has no ham and mushrooms. I hate mushrooms so I had to pick those out. I also ordered garlic bread over the phone, but it never got added to the order? Even though she told me the correct total on the phone when I paid it wasn't on the ticket and I was going to wait for them to make one because their wait times are VERY long. I've waited anywhere between 10-15 minutes over the time they tell me it will be ready. Such as the say 25 minutes, and I'll arrive 30-40 minutes later and still have to wait. And again, these are small orders for 1-2 people. They are almost always busy, so I guess they are doing something right, but I've just not been happy with the wait times and how many times my simple order has...
