Hands Down the BEST Bagels in NJ!!! 30 years ago I visited this place when I lived in the area...I made a weekly stop for bagels for the week. Years passed and I left the area, not only did I leave the area but I moved 1500 miles away. Now when I am back in NJ I go out of my way (seriously I do) to stop at Hightstown for a bakers dozen of the bagels. This last trip out a couple weeks ago i picked up bagel to take to my family in Virginia! Yep its a special request. This is a family owned and operated bagel shop. There is no indoor seating to eat, its a grab your bagels and go enjoy. They make the bagels for the day...and then close once all are sold. They sell out about 10am so if you are planning on stopping...then get there early cause you will miss out for sure if your later. They make sandwiches, will toast the bagels and top with your choice. I find it wonderful to see the same staff everytime I am there and even if they don't really remember me, I remember them but they always say they recognize me and my once a year visit. Awesome place and I wish them decades more success on this business. I haven't taken any photos of the bagel but they have roughly 18 varieties of bagels and all are large fat and wonderful. Do yourself and your family a favor and discover all I say is true...

This business has been serving the community for 30 years, and no low-quality establishment lasts that long. Any small business has the right to operate as they see fit, as long as they adhere to health guidelines. Whether or not they choose to serve pork is entirely their decision, just as it is your choice to seek out another place that offers it. When I purchase halal, kosher, or pork products, I respect both my choice and the choices of the businesses I support. This family-run business has built a strong reputation over the years, and a few negative reviews cannot overshadow the beauty of the town and the loyal support of its residents. Known for its top-quality bagels, cream cheese, and exceptional service, this shop has become a beloved staple in the community. W💞W‼️ 1st thing you'll notice is the delicious aroma, when you walk in. The menu is huge! Told them it was my 1st visit, they told me to take my time and they close at 2. Lol good thing I got there at 10. My Uncle has raved about this place so I got his favorite and a egg & cheese on egg Bagel. They have a huge variety of sandwiches, pick your favorite movie star or music star. On Wednesday's you can get a dozen bagels for $9.99. The prices for everything on their menu are outstandingly great! Oh So good!! The bagels are HUGE. And filling. I snarfed the onion Bagel, slathered w chive cream cheese and onion. Guaranteed I will be back, many times to come. There's a few stools by the window to sit and eat. There's a coffee and cappuccino station, as well as soft drinks and juices available. Great...
