Really unfortunate I have to leave a bad review for this place but it's necessary. First of all, this place used to have amazing food, my whole family came here all the time. Now it's a massive disappointment. First off, there's no servers, so you order through a highly complex and glitchy app that doesn't allow you to modify or request any changes to all items. Secondly there whole menu is gone. You can basically get 3 entrées, vegan burger, chicken burger or cheese burger. I ended up getting a double cheeseburger for $14.30. Burger came and I was disappointed with how tiny it was, and it literally came with nothing but a piece of pickle. Patties were over cooked and about as thin as Wendy's drive through. They charge you more for using cards now, and there is literally zero service because they only have one employee. This place used to be top on our list, sadly we will not be back. This was always a food AND beer place for us, but If you want just beer, it's still a good option for a drink.

We enjoyed this spontaneous date night spot! Quirky atmosphere in an industrial park. Although a bit harder to find without clear signage, it kind of adds to the quirkiness. We didn't browse all the coolers of beer/seltzers, but definitely want to in the future! I did try the Raspberry Wheat Ale on the menu from a local Hillsboro brewery, which turned out to be great. We tried the German Pretzel appetizer which was a bit of a let down tasting a bit dry and like it was under a warmer for a while. The dips that it came with however were unique and tasty! We each ordered two entrees and split them. The ABV burger and the PBLT. The burger wasn't anything special, but the sandwhich was absolutely on point! Days later and I'm still craving another one! Loved the peppers they put on it! Wish I recalled their name. Excited to come back and try more on the menu!

Odd place ... its a brew pub and burger joint in a dressed up industrial park ... huge volume not very intimate or interesting. Very nice and attentive servers... Reasonable list of food options ... all are GOOD, but not exceptional, the meats were fresh and premium tasting and fries were fresh and good and portions were appropriate however everything was overpriced ( if you have ever eaten at Tilt, it was very comparable in quality and portion size ). The burgers were 18 to 20 each and appetizers were 12+ each. The poutine is a nice appetizer ... notvas good as in Canada but worth and order or two. We had one base and one specialty burger and a chicken sandwich and an order of poutine, no drinks just water and it was $75. Definitely not a repeater.

I am sorry to be writing this, but the treatment my wife and I received was too awful not to make it known. ABV had been my favorite spot to go to in the area for many years. During the pandemic, I went out of my way to order from there at least once a week to try and help them through. The service was always great and the food and beer was always good. However, me and the wife decided to go back soon after restrictions were lifted. There was a 45 minute wait, but we saw other groups outside, enjoying the sun with beers in their hand. We figured we would also do that as we waited. We grabbed a couple drinks from the cooler and went out and popped them open and waited. When we were called only 15 minutes later, we walked up with our drinks that the hostess just sold us, she said we could not be seated because we had open containers. Confused, we pointed to the other people outside with drinks and stated that we didn't know that was going to be a problem. She called over the day manager to get his input and he began to treat us like we kicked his dog... He loudly exclaimed to us that "you guys broke every OLCC rule in the book!!" and he could not seat us. We apologized for the confusion and again pointed to others doing the same as us. He then said that he could only seat us if he were to dump our drinks. We agreed, thinking it was all a mistake and we would just order something when we were seated. When we get seated and go to order our food and drinks. After we ordered our food, our waitress told us that she was instructed not to serve us alcohol. We were never told that detail by the manager. If we were, we would have saved them the time by stating we would leave instead of being seated. So we asked our waitress to cancel our order and we would be leaving. The manager immediately ran to the kitchen and yells: "STOP THAT ORDER! DO NOT MAKE IT!! F*CKING CANCEL IT!!" as we walk by to leave through a lobby full of people, some of which had beers in their hands... That kind of needlessly mean and rude behavior from the day manager was not unnecessary and really put us off coming back. Again, it is unfortunate this happened at what was one of my...

Okay, used to be 5 stars. Had to drop one ms almost dropped two (down to 3). Used to LOVE this place and sent EVERYONE here if they were in town visiting. However....

....I may be wrong (and I truly hope I am), but the last three times I've been here the food has taken a serious downturn. Don't get me wrong, it's still good, but a wedge salad shouldn't just be a half wedge of iceberg lettuce - especially when advertised as more. Last three times I ordered this (again, hoping it was just a single occurrence) I got the lettuce but that's about it. The bacon crumbles likely equate to about ¼ strip of bacon, the onion is about 3 small rings (no, not slices...just single rings) and four halves of cherry tomatoes (yes, for those doing the math that means just two cherry tomatoes).

I'm going to keep trying simply because I loved this place and really hope it doesn't continue the slide in an effort to save a few dimes here and there.

I'll edit this if things get better. Here's to hoping....

Oh, the beer is still AWESOME. (Duh)

Edit: As promised.....

I've tried the salad four more times since those 'issues' (among other meals) and I'm going to place my rating back at 5 stars. Doubt they've adjusted anything based on a simple review, but it sure seems as if they did. The salad is awesome (so were the other meals).

Yes, the beer is STILL awesome. Oh, and there are some great servers there as well, always wearing a smile. And if you visit more than once don't be surprised if they recognize you and greet you more like a friend...

Hard to find in an industrial area with a lack of signage sits abv. Attached to a homebrew supply store, abv is a restaurant/bottle shop/beer bar with flat screen tv beer menus, tons of hard to find bottles, and an outstanding and creative bar menu. Sandwiches, burgers, pizza and salads available. My burger was cooked perfectly to order, bun was soft and chewy, burger had a nice char while still being buttery soft inside, and a generous offering of shoestring fries. My father had a scratch made veggie burger which he said had a perfect flavor and might be the best veggie burger he had ever had (35 yr vegetarian).

I had a session mead on tap, my dad had a scottish beer, both great. They stock a great selection of cider, and have at least 5 taps of 'other than beer' drinks. There's something for everyone. Their taplist is online, so bring and use your tablet/smartphone to look at the table.

Staff was attentive and very excited about the restaurant. The guys at the supply store attached to the restaurant were super chill and fun to talk to while waiting for our food.

The table next to us was equally as thrilled with their pepperoni pizza which looked fantastic. We grabbed some bottles to go.

They charge a 1.50 bottle fee to drink a bottle at the restaurant, so id just take them to go and drink the draft offerings.

I would love to see what this chef can do with chicken wings on the menu...with a few sauces to pick from.

This place is solid, and won't be undiscovered for long..beer fans,...
