I gave this 1 star for the friendly service that's it. The reviews I read are very misleading. I don't know where all these people have had breakfast before to give this place 5 stars but WOW! It fell well below Dennys. I got the eggs Benedict my go to breakfast. I was looking forward in tasting there hollandaise sauce, needless to say they came with a tea spoon of sauce and had to ask for more hollandaise sauce to actually make it and eggs benedict. The eggs were poached perfect but that was about it. They have there house potatos, which fell well below store-bought bag of Ore-Ida potatoes. The taste was sweet as I assume they use sweet potatoes with a seasoning I still can't get out of my mouth. There sausage seemed to be like a small cut in half bratwurst, which also had a funny taste to it. It looked like it was an organic piece of meat, with little to no flavor. You have to go to the counter to order your food and take a flagged number, then hope you find a table. Got lucky I found a seat or I don't know where we would have ate our meal. Drinks coffee is plenty of that but they only had a beverage stand up frigerator with pop and water and juice out of a bottle. So we hadn't had power going on two days now so was excited to find this place online get out of the house to go to a place that sounded really good was looking for some warmth and good food it was chilly inside like they didn't turn the heat on so needless to say we have no heat at home and had the while we were eating. Was truly disappointed not impressed whatsoever especially for the price you pay I expected better quality of food. Until the next time I try and find somewhere new to go I will...
Read moreI can't believe it's taken me this long to write this review. I'd love to take an opportunity to boast about this business and how tremendous it's been for our lives.
Fun fact: Did you know that Longbottom sponsors fundraisers for school extracurricular activities/organizations? About 3-4 years ago my wife, who is a band director, was at a gathering which consisted of people who are in the music world. She was approached by someone from Longbottom, and talked to them about potentially making LCT their new fundraiser sponsor. My wife fell in LOVE with LCT. Honestly I don't think she loves ME as much as she does this coffee, and we've been together almost a decade.
Within the year, her school band switched to LCT as their sponsor and it has gone over like gangbusters. EVERYONE who's tried this coffee has loved it, and the parents and kids rave over this. They consistently break records every year for money raised, and it's been tremendous to watch true excitement come into this event. On this years order forms LCT is giving this band their "own blend" (probably just a rename but it's great for the kids to use as a selling point!) . This company, from OREGON has changed lives of people here in Houston, Texas.
It gets even better. Remember that part where I said she loved this coffee more than me? We literally took a vacation, at her behest, last year to Portland to "see family and friends" but that was just a cover story to visit the store and get coffee. We went home with 9 bags, and it was absolutely worth it. She swears up and down by this place and product, so once again: Thank y'all for being as great as you are, and doing...
Read moreThis caffe is a hidden gem tucked away in an industrial area northwest Hillsboro close to hwy 20 and excellent choice for great coffee, breakfast, and lunch. A must try whenever you're passing by or staying in this area.
You can already tell whether the place is gonna be a hit when the parking lot is almost full, the dining area is filled, and there's a decent line of folks getting coffee and pastries. Depending on what time you go, it can get pretty busy, but the service is fast.
I've had their latte two days straight now and liked it so much that I decided to buy two of the Cafffe' Di Venezia roasts, which they used for their espressos. I also love that their 12 oz lattes come with 2 shots--they do it right! You can actually taste coffee instead of being drowned in the milk!
Also ordered a couple dishes of their breakfast offerings (2 x Kids Mini Farmhouse Plate, Meat Lover's Omelette, Garden Omelette) and they don't skimp out on the portion. The pictures I took probably doesn't any justice, but the portions are on the bigger side and are very flavorful. You definitely get a big bang for the buck. I usually add ketchup to my egg dishes but didn't need it. The food is tasty without it!
My family enjoys staying in Hillsboro whenever we come for a minnie excursions or vacation. I'm very glad I can add another caffe to our list and can't wait to try their pastries and other dished from their...
