Our party of 12 went to this location @ 3:45 to eat after a long stressfuk day of moving. All we wanted was to relax, eat a good meal & get back on the highway. The dining area was empty. We were immediately seated, we waited a few minutes for our server, drink order was taken & our server disappeared. Our server returned with our drinks and another table came in. We informed our server we were ready to order as she was passing out the drinks which were incorrect! We were told to hold on and she preceeded to take the order of the table behind us. She disappeared again and reappeared at the table behind us. She was informed again we were ready to order. Told to hold on again with a rude unnecessary attitude. We informed her we wanted another server, she rolled her eyes, mumbled something under her breathe & walked off. We walked to the back to inform other staff we were ready to order & wanted a new server. The current server laughed & left. I don't know if she was having a bad day or was just lack customer service skills. We received a new server which was amazing very attentive who took our food order & corrected our drink order with a smile. As other patrons who were seated after us were seated, served, ate and left we still sat waiting patiently for our food for over an hour!. I typically do not pull the race card but we were the only people of color in the restaurant was that the issue I am not sure but last I checked all money is green! We left and went to El Conquistador and received excellent customer service the food was hot. They made $200 plus a $30 gratituity and the waitress received a separate tip for her magnificent customer service!! Lonestar get it right you just lost a hefty profit due to poor...
Read moreCalled ahead and made reservations ahead of time for 50 Special Olympic athletes, parents, volunteers, and coaches. When we arrived, they seated us at tables of 4 in the middle of a busy area rather than in one of the side dining areas. I explained we would have to be up helping each table. They said they would handle it. We tried to explain that some need assistance with the menu and ordering. They knew ahead of time that it was 1 tax free ticket (except for parents). They asked again about how we would be paying. After everyone got seated and they started taking drink orders, the manager came and told us that they could not put it on 1 ticket, that each table or waitress section would have to pay and tip separately. When we said we couldn't do it that way, she said that they would not be able to serve us. The manager is not very knowledgeable about customer service, value of customers, treatment of others, and how to charge all items to 1 ticket. She was RUDE. Very humiliating for our group. This was our 1st stop headed to our State Special Olympic track meet in San Antonio. Very bad experience. We took several other customers in the lobby with us..... I can't tell you if the food was good....we didn't get the chance to try it! I would NOT recommend this place. Kindness goes a long way. But, it was a good lesson to our students on how NOT to act. I could say more......but...
Read moreAte here for the first time with my family of 4 last night. Was highly disappointed to say the least. Hubbies chicken fried steak was mostly batter that was soggy and saturated with oil. Hardly any actual steak in there. Kids chicken strips were burnt, they had to peel the crust off to be able to eat them. Just before our food came out a large party was seated next to us so we pretty much lost our waitress at that point. Others brought our food out and my dinner salad was forgotten and it took awhile to flag the waitress down. Never offered refills or anything, waitress only returned to bring the check. Had to give hubby rest of my tea so he could finish his meal. Check was $60 for a chicken fried steak dinner, a chicken strip dinner split between 2 kids with 2 extra sides added, just a side salad and baked potato for myself and 4 soft drinks. Alot of the food was left uneaten as we tried but there was just so much that was unedible. Also, they apparently dont have any rolls. We were never brought/offered any and i didnt see were you could order them on the menu? Just a small complaint really but usually places like this offer them with meal or at least have them available to purchase extra. We will not be returning here which is unfortunate as we just moved to hillsboro and had hoped this would become a regular...
