El Wadi Grill — Restaurant in Hillsborough Township

Absolutely phenomenal, and very nice Staff/Owner.

Experience: Beef over rice is not on the menu, but they were very nice and did a lamb over rice, sub beef, When picking up my food I accidentally left my card in the store, and they ran out to my car to return it. Above and beyond customer service!

Food: Shared between my wife and I, A chili-cheese dog, strawberry shake, beef over rice, and 6pc buffalo chicken wings.

Chili-cheese dog was pretty good, not quite a "portillo's dog" but definitely satisfactory, and something we would order again.

The Chicken wings are breaded, and very very tasty. The buffalo sauce leans a little on the hot side, but the they were hot, well breaded, and the bleu cheese was nice and thick, making it a great dipping sauce.

Strawberry shake had strawberry chunks in it, fresh and refreshing :)

Beef over rice was great, the portion size is pretty reasonable for a $10 platter, the beef was extremely well made, and complimented well with fresh veggies, and a mild but good companion yellow rice. The hot sauce is not for the faint of heart, but was delicious, and the hotter the better ;). While I can't complain about the amount of beef for a $10 platter, I'd gladly pay an extra $4-6 for double the meat.

Last week, I had the pleasure of visiting a wonderful family-owned Mediterranean restaurant that truly stands out. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel like part of the family. The owners are incredibly friendly, always taking the time to chat with guests and ensure you’re having a great experience.

The restaurant itself is spotless, with a cozy atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. As for the food, it’s simply fantastic. The kabab was juicy and full of flavor, while the kufta was perfectly spiced and tender. The menu offers a wide variety of dishes, each one better than the last, showcasing the authenticity and quality of Mediterranean cooking. You can tell that each dish is made with care, love, and the kind of attention to detail that comes from a family-run business.

One of the highlights for me was the baklava—without a doubt, one of the best I’ve ever had! It was rich, flaky, and sweet, with just the right balance of flavors. This place has quickly become a favorite of mine, and I can’t wait to return. Whether you’re looking for a casual meal or a special treat, this restaurant never disappoints. It’s a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enjoy authentic Mediterranean cuisine...

I ordered a Chicken Shawarma sandwich to share and two Spicy Chicken sandwiches for myself and my wife. There was a promotion for the spicy chicken sandwich where you buy one and get half off the second sandwich.

The Chicken Shawarma sandwich was ordered in a wrap and was delicious. The chicken was tender and nicely seasoned.

The spicy chicken sandwiches were great and similar to what you order at McDonald’s, Wendy’s, or any fast food type place. It contained a fried chicken patty on a burger bun with lettuce, tomato, and a thousand island dressing style sauce. I enjoyed this sandwich and I think it was better compared to those places.

Food was great and the gentleman at the counter was friendly and helpful with the menu. I am looking forward to trying out all the dishes in the future. Definitely...
