Blue — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

We sat down at 12:30pm for lunch. There were maybe 3 tables of people in the entire restaurant. We ordered all the food by 12:45pm (I ordered cauliflower app and spinach salad). I had a spa appointment at 2 downstairs and figured an hour and a half for lunch would be plenty. At 1:25 (40 min later!) none of us even had an appetizer! They brought out my salad after we asked explaining I would need to leave soon but when I left at 1:40 only half the table had their food and my appetizer still hadn’t come! We ordered things like sandwiches salads and plain pasta for the kids—absurd that it took an hour to only bring half of it with the restaurant being virtually empty! We’ve eaten here a few times this past week and it’s been slow but today was outrageously slow. Also when they made my father in laws salad wrong they charged us twice to bring the...

I don't know what was worse. The food or the service! they greeted us as soon as we got there, which was nice. They seated us at a table right away. It wasn't busy. That should have been my first thought

The waiter came over, and he was amazingly friendly. Although he didn't seem to know the menu as well as he should

My wife got the chicken club, and she said that the chicken tasted funny, and it had a strange smell to it, so i'm assuming it was bad

I opted for mai fish tacos, and they were horrible. They tasted extremely fishy and overcooked. So much to the point where I barely ate any of it. The french fries were good, I'll give him that

Our waiter came to the table and took our order. And that was the last time we saw him. We never got any refills on water or beverages

Please Don't pay attention to the negative reviews! From the moment we were greeted by Ashley and her infectious smile😁, to Tricia our amazing server🙏👌 Kushal behind the bar popping the bubbles for us🍾🥂, Marvin helping everyone, and Mustafa keeping everything moving smoothly, Frinha (SPL?) serving us poolside. And Darko stepping in for our return 👌

Just a great friendly vibe and staff that feels like family. And make no mistake, the food was awesome, served hot and faster than I would ever expect. Get the crab cakes and the dumpling soup!

But if they are busy, which happens from time to time, please have patience for the human beings who are trying to help you out. Be nice and it always comes back to you.
