Jahmerican jerk food truck — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

We came looking for Jesse’s Island food truck based on their almost five star review on Google Maps and found the Jahmerican Jerk food truck. After being in Hilton head for a few days and eating subpar food, I came here looking for something great to eat and I found it! By far the best we have eaten since we’ve been on the island for a few days. We had the Mahi Platter with steam vegetables and plantain, as well as the Mahi tacos with steam vegetables and plantain. Everything was made fresh and taste fresh. The Mahi on the platter was fresh and not salty. The Mahi tacos were fresh and I love the coleslaw and fresh pineapple chunks. The tacos was loaded and I left satisfied. They had my island favorite drink call Ting- which was a delightful surprise. The location is a definite plus. Great spot for food trucks. Trudy and Dave were absolutely amazing to work with while planning the catering for our wedding. Prep, set up, and execution were easy. They were flexible and accommodating to any of our preferences and all the details that were important to us. Gave us plenty of menu options. Fed 100+ guests in under an hour. Easily the best vendor we worked with for our wedding. Made the food/catering a completely stress free part of the wedding day.

Weeks later, and all of our guests are still raving about how good the food was. Definitely the best wedding food that any of our guests have ever had. If you like jamaican food, you must try this truck out. I was in Hilton Head for a week and wish I found him sooner. Friendly guy selling quality jamaican food. He is set back and hard to see but Google maps brought me right to the truck. One day I had the oxtail. They were the most tender oxtails I've had. Fall right off the bone. The gravy was perfect with butterbeans and carrots. I went back the next day for the jerk chicken. Tender, smokey chicken with a side of fresh spicy and citrus sauce.
