Land's End Tavern — Restaurant in Hilton Head Island

Wish we could say we actually got the experience to eat here, we are here on vacation and it happened to be my 8 year old nephews birthday and he requested to eat here, we were told we would have a wait of 30 minutes for our party of 10 when 30 minutes came we checked on our table and they told us they gave it away 30 minutes before even though our pager never buzzed, well the pager didn’t work. Waited another 30 minutes to finally walk in and see we were going to be seated at two separate tables, we obviously declined the table as we wanted to sit as a family, the wait staff was not very sympathetic and less then helpful. After going boating for a couple hours, we decided to grab lunch. When we arrived, we had them seat us on the second floor, outside, under the canopy. Our waitress was Cassandra. Once Cassandra brought our drinks and took our order, she made sure our drinks stayed full. She stopped by to check on us regularly. Insuring our meals were great and we were fully satisfied. The smoothies were great. Nice atmosphere. My girlfriend really enjoyed the buttermilk fried flounder sandwich.

I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos and they were without exaggeration the worst thing I've ever eaten. The inside of my nose burns 30 minutes after leaving.

With over half the meal left untouched I was not asked if it was okay or if I'd like a box for the leftovers. This felt strange for paying such a premium to eat here.
