I arrived yo this McDonald's toeing a 5th wheel camper and attempted to go inside for counter service due to the OVERSIZED vehicle I was driving/towing. The doors to the restaurant were locked, so I knocked on the window to get someone's attention whom was working inside and asked for counter service because my vehicle was too large to fit through the drive-thru. They told me I wasn't allowed to order as a walk-up customer & that's the way it is. The employee sent a manager out to talk to me and she very blatantly exclaimed that they were refusing me service because I asked for the counter service I & others like me in similar situations as I are entitled to because our vehicles won't fit through a 9 foot clearance drive-thru window. Your employees & manager on duty are VERY, VERY RUDE & UNWELCOMING for what's supposed to be a family friendly environment. Your restaurant is in a VERY well known "truck stop/rest stop" area where travelers of ALL KINDS SHOULD BE WELCOMED without being told that they're being refused service because they're driving a vehicle that WILL NOT FIT THROUGH YOUR 9 FOOT CLEARANCE DRIVE-THRU LANE!!!!!!!! Just because I asked for counter service to place my order, that's why they refused to serve me & my family tonight. Shameful for what's supposed to be the "most family friendly fast food restaurant chain in the entire WORLD!!!!!" I understand some people believe that covid is going to kill them, but it's just not. Grow up & relearn what it means to be...
Read moreBe aware that employees in this store WILL call on suspected DUI or opened bottles as you are waiting for food as a customer. I thought I was going through the checkpoint for DUI in Hinckley sheriff's office. The incident occurred on 9/4/22 around 11 p.m. Ordered food and made a payment and was told to pull forward to wait for my order in the drive-thru. As I was waiting for more than 15 minutes for my food, the sheriff suddenly pulled over to my car for a possible DUI and opened-bottle and told me that he had received a call from Mcdonald's. Sheriff asked us some questions but did not find anything because we DIDN'T drink and there was no open bottle. We didn't drink or smoke at all. We didn't play loud music, and we were courteous to employees. As soon as the sheriff decided to let us go, Mcdonald's employee came out of nowhere and dropped the food WITHOUT apologizing to us for the false accusation. I came to Mcdonald's to get FOOD. McDonald's doesn't have a protocol to call any enforcement agencies for DUI. In addition, employees don't receive any training about DUI. At least at this location, THINK about TWICE when they ask you to pull into the reserved pull-ahead spots. Employees at this location may call on sheriffs and falsely accuse you (Mcdonald's customer) as you wait...
