Crab House — Restaurant in Hinesville

If you don’t want to wait more than 1.5 - 2 hours for your food... DO NOT eat here! If you want good customer service.... DO NOT eat here! If you want to be treated like a valued customer lol please DO NOT eat here! I’ve been eating at this seafood establishment for over 10 months - 2x’s per month and the food was actually pretty good... I’m a pretty patient person especially when it comes to my food because I believe good food takes time to create... However, within the last few months the quality of the Crab House service has dropped tremendously!!!! I’m a firm believer of giving people a second maybe even a third because everyone is entitled to a few bad days... However, this restaurant seems to continue in a downward spiral... Within the last two months (3 visits) I had to wait over an 1.5 hours for my food to get done in addition to having my orders taken by an unprofessional teenage girl with a ugly attitude and another young lady (possible in her early 30’s) who attempts to multiple task but fail, and seems to have a difficult time processing basic information including the prices on their menu. I have no clue why I continued to support this business and give them another shot but I strongly regret doing so, especially after today. This being my fourth and last negative experience, I ordered my food and the young lady told me to pick up in 20-30 min... I asked was she sure because they always give me that time frame and I always end up waiting more than an hour... she mentioned she would extend me the courtesy in calling me when my food was ready... I called back 1.5 hours later and her exact words were “oh yes, I forgot to call you but your food just got done anyways so come on and get it”. I arrived 10 mins later to pick up my food and she tells me she gave HALF of my order away to someone else who placed an order because she “forgot” that I was coming to get it... smh this statement doesn’t even make sense but the kicker is that her manager was standing there listening to our conversation and she proceeded to look clueless as if she didn’t know what to say to me or didn’t know what to do... the employee stated she could retake my order and have it ready in about “20-30mins”..... as if I really wanted to wait any longer for my food that was suppose to be done over an hour ago at this point. Smh... ridiculous... lessoned learned! Everyone doesn’t deserve your patience and clearly your money. Will NEVER...

My boyfriend an I went there on Saturday 08/28/21. This was our first time. Walked inside and the owners were extremely nice. I explained to the woman that this was my 1st time ever eating here and I am from liberty county and passed this place for years. She said they have been there 40yrs.

I ordered the medium tray low country boil and added another pound of snow crab to it. It looked really good. Snow crab wasn't that big but they gave me alot I must say. My boyfriend ordered a fried shrimp dinner w/french fries he was given 20 jumbo shrimp w/ fries for 12.99 I thought was great!

He also added 1lb of snow crab to his order. We both ordered 2 of their large garlic butters they were like 3 bucks a piece but we're big like a pint I believe. Our total was $108.00. Yes that's alot of money but it was alot of food more than I actually expected. The only thing I would say is that all my shrimp and snow crab were over cooked.

Anyone that eats alot of seafood and knows alot about it knows what I'm talking about when I say this. Corn was not sweet and the sausage wasn't like what I'm use to eating when it comes to low country boil. All in all I would go back just not order that much food again. I rate them a 4 star bc they were so nice and for all the snow crab we got. Wait time was not bad...

My first and last time ever visiting this establishment. I visited yesterday. I noticed the fried shrimp were dark and suggested they change their grease. She informed me they change it everyday. I received an Overcooked Low Country Boil and Two burnt Shrimp and Hushpuppy meals. I spoke with someone on yesterday. They asked that I Bring the food to be replaced on the next day. I arrived and when It was time to receive my food they took my food and the old food in the back. I waited another almost 10 mins and asked what was going on because I physically saw the food. I was told the cooks had an issue. I was then told I was being given a refund. That me and my mom always have problems with our food . I then informed them my mom does not live here and it is my first time visiting. I mentioned I was okay with just a replacement and the way they handled it was unprofessional and Rude. I received an oh well sorta of shrug and answer. I was completely shocked and felt very disrespected for no reason. I definitely won't ever...
