From the moment I walked into MASSA African Restaurant, I knew I was in for a special experience. The warmth of the staff, the inviting atmosphere, and the tantalizing aroma of authentic African cuisine instantly set the stage for an unforgettable meal.
What truly set this restaurant apart, however, was the exceptional service. I had placed an order, only to find out that the restaurant had run out of Eru, one of my favorite dishes. Most places would offer a simple apology or suggest an alternative, but MASSA went above and beyond. The chef, with an incredible dedication to their craft and customers, made a special trip back to the restaurant just to ensure I received my full order. Not only did they prepare the dish fresh, but I still received my meal in a timely manner, without any compromise in quality. The portion size was great, And the food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every bite was bursting with rich, authentic flavors that transported me straight to the heart of Africa. The spices were perfectly balanced, the textures were delightful, and the love put into every dish was evident. Each plate was a masterpiece, showcasing the depth and vibrancy of African cuisine.
I am beyond grateful for the extraordinary effort put into making my experience special. The dedication of the team at MASSA is unmatched, and their passion for both food and customer service is something you don’t find every day. I will absolutely continue to support this incredible restaurant and encourage anyone looking for an authentic, flavorful, and heartwarming dining experience to do the same.
Thank you, MASSA, for not just serving food, but for serving kindness, dedication, and excellence on...
Read moreI went on the first day of their grand opening but had to leave …. Because of the long wait. I went back the very next day. I had the Egusi with chicken: The Egusi was good but not enough for $22plus…. And the chicken was not tender at all. Since I like the Egusi. I went back the 3rd day of opening and ordered that alone thinking I will get more of it (if I ordered it alone) with side being the fufu: Their mashed-potatoe ball with a hint of the nice bitter-leaf flavor in it. I did arrive there when they first open for the day…. Got my order really fast!… but only to be disappointed with watered down Egusi that spilled on me and it was soo loose I couldn’t even pick the Egusi up with the fufu….I was saddened….. and I got even less Egusi by itself then the first time with the chicken….it surely wasn’t worth $14plus ither. I will give them some time to make some adjustments …. And I will go back. …. And pray-fully their business will be better then when they first started…. Because it can be successful being that it’s the first African restaurant in...
Read moreHey I visited this restaurant 5 days from the last two weeks on the strength of my friend and her having nothing but great things to say. The very first day they didn’t have what I wanted they had sold out (good thing I guess). The owner allowed us to taste pepper goat soup and I declined to order it because it was too tough for my liking. So I went a couple days later for lunch and I ordered Egusi soup w/ goat and fufu. It was hella delicious, to the point where I had lunch there the following day with my soldier. That same day it was bomb. Then I met up with my friends and had lunch the food that day was good also . So I finally decided to grab my husband some pepper chicken and jellof rice with plantains however I ordered oxtails originally and they were extremely too tough. I went home quite upset because of the actual is mind boggling and I’m huge on paying anyone with a craft and their time . So I may sit back for a while and allow them to work out their kinks and get some consistency going and try at a later date seeing that it’s a...
