El Cazador Restaurant — Restaurant in Hinesville

I debated to write this review. However I saw on the same day that another customer had a bad experience as well. I hope this gets to the store owner not in a way to get anyone in trouble but to reflect the possibility of loosing customers. It was my husband’s birthday yesterday and he wanted El Cazador because it was our favorite Mexican restaurant. When we entered to be seated we were asked how many. We told our waitress 2. Then she proceeds with a hand gesture of like go seat ourselves in this section. We were confused and I asked her anywhere? She then does this pointing hand motion. Ok. That was our first red flag. No big deal. Nothing from stopping us from eating. We ordered. Food came out fast and very delicious. Then we sat there and sat there. NOBODY came back to check on us at all!!! NOBODY! However there was another couple sitting behind us yet because they were “regulars” they got checked on. Mind you this was my husband birthday. We needed refills, to go boxes, and wanted dessert to celebrate his birthday. No one came back at all. They didn’t even bring us the check. After sitting there for about 30 minutes and no one came over. We then decided to leave. Paid for our food. My husband was so upset he told me do not leave a tip whatsoever. So instead I used that extra money and treated him to a really nice dessert somewhere else. From one store manager to the store owner… I’m not looking to get anyone in trouble but this is not acceptable. Your waitress lost money because of poor customer service. Your business lost money because you guys refused to check on your customers. You could have made extra money for your business with the help of better...

I have reviewed this place before n didn't have a bad thing to say but this visit was the worst. I believe they were short staffed so keeping that in mind..... we sat down n the table was dirty to start as they all were at the moment. We sat for at least 5 mins before chips n salsa were brought n she took our drink order ....we ordered our food...when we got it 1 of the entrees was so full of liquid the tortilla shell was mushy n the steak on the other 1 just had a bad taste. So we swapped the steak. We finally asked for the check n when I looked at it we were still being charged for the steak instead of what was actually ate. Went to the counter n a lady was standing there n had been for a good min. She spoke up n reminded them she was there n 1 of the ladies told her just a moment. She stood there for a min n then left. We got to the counter to pay the check n waited...as we were waiting 1 worker that had spoke to the customer that left asked the table behind us if they heard how the customer spoke to her..... that was uncalled for. So someone finally came to check us out n I asked why we were being charged for something we didn't eat.... to which she replied he said leave it ......I asked to speak to the mgr n she replied he's busy let me get his wife. Let’s start with the food is subpar. Chicken was under cooked and food was cold. Couldn’t find the waitress to inform her because she was busy tending to everyone else. My family had to hunt the waitress down to pay our tab because the others couldn’t assist us “I’ll get your waitress” . My grandmother paid her share and I pay mine which I notice has portion of what my grandmother paid. So I ask for an itemized receipt she is having trouble producing it. She finally gives me the receipt and as suspected was double charged. She then goes on to say we can’t leave until we pay. My grandmother already paid and so did I. Credit card receipt in hand. She’s making a scene , loud and being rude. So I ask her what do wwe have to pay for that we didn’t pay for because you over charged us and we have receipts in hand from literally 2 minutes ago. Once everyone in the small establishment heard me she then says oh well you can go. As if she wasn’t our waitress and the one to ring us up. It was the I instructed my grandmother to retrieve all cash money we left for her on the table since she wants to over charge my credit card. There’s your $11 tip right there. And I will be filing a complaint with my bank. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment to anyone. Upon leaving we realized they make their drinks in the kitchen with the food. Would 10/10 would...
