Tasty Taco & More — Restaurant in Hockessin, Delaware

Pretty annoyed. Wanted to try this place for lunch based on the good reviews. Ordered 3 pastor tacos y una quesadilla con carne asada both with harina tortillas. Sat down to wait. And wait. And wait. They weren’t busy at all inside the restaurant, nobody else was having table service. 20 minutes later I nicely ask if our order is ready. The girl looks confused and tells me they had some phone orders. Ok but we are here too and it’s a small order. But whatever. She goes to the back and then comes back out to take our order again. I repeat it back to her. Another 10 minutes go by and finally we get our food to go. Get home and my order is wrong (maiz not harina), the quesadilla that was supposed to have everything on it just had cheese, and the meat is pretty bland. It all went in the trash. Wow, HIDDEN GEM!!! We stopped for a quick lunch and were absolutely blown away by the food, all made fresh to order. The chips and salsa were fantastic while we waited and the guacamole was so fresh and perfect. But the TACOS!! First time here, but I’ll definitely be back again. Everything was delicious and the tortillas are handmade; you can tell as soon as you take your first bite. The aguas frescas were yummy, and my husband really enjoyed the horchata! Staff were also very nice. It’s a small family biz and they seem to be figuring things out so I agree with a different review where it’s best to have some patience/understanding with them. Hopefully they’re able to get more...
