Hunter's Mexican Cantina and Grill — Restaurant in Hogansville

My little grandson and I went there to eat lunch today and he wanted both the personal cheese pizza which when it was delivered to our table the crust was absolutely amazing like no pizza I've ever had in my life the cheese does not taste like store-bought cheese doves it was really really good and we ended up taking home seven pieces because he also had french fries I chose the two tacos with beef and rice and beans off the lunch menu and got my drink included and I ended up bringing a whole taco and beans and rice home I'm just stuffed the salsa and the chips are always great be sure to add some cheese sauce the cheese sauce is so great but it's very pleasant atmosphere cowboy pictures were on the television so that's where we sat very shady no overbearing odors the servers are always friendly I love to talk with you even the ones that are not waiting on you will take time to say hello and I hope that I will continue to be a friend in this place because I think the people that work there are very friend Worthy. Was only going to buy lunch but after lunch even though we had lunch left over to bring home my grandson wanted churros with ice cream how do you tell your child no they make the churros there at the restaurant these are nothing like Taco Bell they are the bomb I have never had homemade girls but these I will get again and I've included a picture we shared a dessert I will not be going back to eat there anymore this week I will have to hold myself back from that until a few more days I just can't keep going back my waistline is still going...

I went for what I thought would be a quick lunch. I asked the host if I could sit at the bar. I was there for about 15 minutes before someone came up and asked if I wanted a drink. I ordered a drink and was given a food menu. That was the last time I saw the guy that made my drink. A waitress came up next to me later and took my food order. She checked on my food after it came out. By the time I was halfway done with my meal, I wanted another drink. No one ever came. I finished eating and sat there for another 15 minutes, waiting for someone. The waitress eventually came back, and I asked for my check. I put my card down at the same time she sat my check down, then she walked away. The check was printed at 1:19. I got up at 1:40 and went to a different section just for someone to address me so that I could pay. At that point, I should have just walked out instead. This place is wild. Like, crammed in a parking lot with two other restaurants that may or may not be attached to gas stations. It looks like a hovel from the outside. But trust me, you want to eat here!

We were passing through, on our way back from Great Wolf Lodge. My daughter still had her wolf ears on and the waiter took a few moments to ask if she had fun and how it was, he even indulged her when she did her wolf howl impersonation. The service and attention were top shelf.

The menu is ridiculous! I mean, they have a little bit of everything. I've never in my life been to a Mexican joint that served fettuccini Alfredo or spaghetti. But this one does. And they were both good, as was the Mexican food on the menu.

The restaurant itself is beautiful. Huge, tall ceilings and decorated with sugar skulls, pinatas, and portraits all around. And even though it's right off the interstate, it definitely had a "locals only" vibe. Definitely will eat here again the next time we...
