Huddle House — Restaurant in Hokes Bluff

I really am upset I’m even having to type this review out. I loved this huddle house, and eat there often. Our food orders are usually wrong, but the food is delicious and the service is usually amazing. Even getting something I didn’t order, I wouldn’t complain. Yesterday morning has been really bothering me, to the point I feel I need to call corporate. I came in with my family, ordered our breakfast, most of it was right but my order of course was partially wrong. Not a big deal…. I let the lady who served our plates, who was the manager on duty, that I had gravy and biscuits not toast and grits, she said she’d change it out. Great, right? Well I’m hungry, kids are ready to go, so I just eat my grits because she forgot, and that’s ok. Well I found a whole bug in my grits after I had taken a few bites. I let our server DeShawn(spelling is wrong) know, to check their grits because of it…. She saw the bug too…. She said she’d let her manager know….. well manager didn’t say anything, I just got my bill for almost 70 dollars….I wasn’t even expecting a comp or a slight discount but I was disgusted and disappointed. It was like it wasn’t a big deal. Like I almost ate a bug…..no I’m sorry, no how can we take care of this. No nothing.

I’m calm, I always tip well, I spend a lot of money at this establishment even though I never get what I order….. but the one time I do say something, and rightly so because there was a bug….. it’s not a big deal….. I just can’t. I should’ve taken a picture but my young adult daughter saw it, the server saw it, and I’m sure there are cameras when I spoke with her.

Don’t waste your money at this terrible establishment. I’ve always thought this was a cute little place to eat, but the past 2-3 times i’ve ate here over the past week, I have been hearing all the female servers being sexually harrassed by their male coworkers. One is a cook, one is a server. I know what it’s like to go through things like this and it is not okay. So, I took it upon myself to call corporate myself for these ladies in the hopes these guys will get fired for the awful things they are doing to these employees. They told me they knew nothing of this beforehand, and because of me they now have a case and will handle it. I went in today and just went to bathroom, to check if they were still working there or if corporate didn’t care either. He was still there, meaning no corporate doesn’t care about these young ladies and i’m so sorry for what they are going through. This place either needs to be shut down or get some better management in this place!!! Of all the times I’ve been here, I’ve never once even seen a manager. My heart goes out to this ladies and I hope me making this public will make the management start to care and fire these gentleman!!! Absolutely love my crew! Brandy who's been in with huddle house sense she was 16 years old! She's a damn good manager!! She grinds down on that floor like the rest of us! All our managers do! Mr Ayden! This is the man with the plan at all times! He remains cool as a cucumber through it all! He leads by example! Miss Elaine she's always there and on top of her game! These 2 ladies and 1 Gentleman are our backbone here! For anyone to say otherwise tisk tisk tisk. My crew! We are a work in progress learning from these 3! Big shout of to my cooks!
