Arrived at 3:45 pm on 12/25/2024 very busy hardly any standing room at the entrance. My wife gave her name for seating. We waited and was seated in about 30 minutes. We were placed in the back corner in the back area, and a waiter took our order for 2 sodas. Note: I had to go and get the menu to see what was available. The waiter never came back with any. Note: I observed the waiter waiting on other tables next to us but never came back to our table. Note: I got up and had another waiter serve refills on the sodas, which our original waiter took over from him and gave it to me, which I then returned to our table with. Note: Again, we waited, I flagged down the bartender and ordered the Sweet Potato Tendur for an appetizer. Note: Again, we waited patiently. I finally inquired about being served after seeing others eating and leaving, and we (my wife and I ) still haven't put our orders in for dinner. Plus, our appetizer has not come yet. The bar waiter informed me that she gave it to my waiter, he came and she asked him about my appetizer order. His response was that it's very busy, and he didn't put it in. Note: The time is 5:27 pm, and our appetizer that was ordered has not been put in nor has he taken our order for our dinner. I was then informed that it was a mix-up as for who was the waiter servicing our corner table. There is one table to the left and one to the right and a big long table in front, which he (the waiter) waited on. nothing but walls behind us. You mean to tell me that our one table has a special waiter?. Well, the waiter became upset because I reminded him he got our original drinks and it's been over an hour and fifty minutes with no service while other has ordered eaten and left and you didn't even put my appetizer in. The waiter became visibly upset and said to another waiter, "You take his order!" He then stormed off. Note: The new waitress took our order, I told her to cancel the Sweet Potato Tendur (appetizer). I ordered the pupu plater for one, and my wife got the Vegetables fried rice and the chicken broccoli carrots dish. Note: We again sat quietly and patiently at the table sipping on our drinks, waiting on our meals to come. She (the waitress) came to the table and plopped a large brown paper bag down and said, "Here your order to go." I immediately said, " What is this, we've been waiting for over 2 hours to be served just like everyone else sitting here in the dining area." I asked to speak to a manager or supervisor. As I waited, I inquired to where the manager was and was told that they were looking for him. 15 minutes later an Asian male wearing a cooking apron came to my table apologizing for the horrible service. He bowed and clasped his hand together while apologizing to me. I did not like this body action he presented in front of me. I explained what transpired and how long we waited. To just get someone to bring our dinner in a takeout bag is an insult to me and my wife. We left with his apology and our your not welcome bag order for free. Drove 40 minutes back home, pupu plater dish was greasy and soggy plus cold, and my wife not much off. Well, this is what happened on our Christmas dinner outing to the Wong Dynasty in Holden Massachusetts. But, we are blessed, and we gave thanks to have the two of us and a warm home plus an onslaught of other things that some person or family is short of and is suffering about or over. Note: I am never going back to the Wong Dynasty because of the service. For those who stand with the service they received at Wong Dynasty. congratulations to you for not being in our shoes on this Christmas day or any other day. I would have given no star, but that option is not available. I must say all the workers that worked there was not horrible, just the two who waiter/ waitress for my lonely...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I were referred to come here by one of her coworkers and we were highly overall. The beginning of our meal was by far the best with our scorpion bowl and shrimp tempura roll being pleasant. From here, our experience went downhill. I ordered the chicken and broccoli dinner special, which was mediocre at best with a side of chicken chow mein while my girlfriend ordered the Jordan chicken dinner combo which she also felt could have been better. The food however, was not the most disappointing part of our night. Our server (which we never properly introduced to so I cannot give you her name), was the topic of our ride home. Her first words to us after a quite extensive wait was “Do you want to order?” When placing our orders, my meal came with an egg roll which I knew I would not eat and asked for a substitution (which is stated under the dinner combinations that it is an additional $1 charge). She stated that I could not even after pointing out the fine print and receiving a confusing response that never answered why I couldn’t. Without confrontation, I ordered a side of chicken chow mein which I immediately did not like once receiving. When coming to check on us, I had told the waitress that I did not enjoy the chow mein. She had followed up with the question of if I have ever had chow mein before. I told her that I always order it when eating Chinese food and that it is made differently in my hometown area (a city in Southcoast, Massachusetts) and that I was disappointed with what I ordered. After mumbling something under her breath (which most of our service sounded like) and taking our food, my girlfriend had told me that after my comment about where my hometown was and taking our plates, the server had said “Well that figures,” which was truly frustrating especially after being denied the substitution to begin with. To top it off, after commenting about the food and being denied our meal change, we were still charged for the chow mein and never visited by a manager or supervisor which I have never experienced after a poor comment about an order. Would not recommend, especially...
Read more⚠️BEWARE!!!!!!! ⚠️ I’m writing this review on behalf of my mother. Food service was slow and the food was nothing out of this world. No music or tv, just a real awkward dinning setting. It feels like being at someone’s home eating.
Other tables that arrived after us got their food before us. Our 30$ pupu platter was shut off because it accidentally set of the fire alarm directly above our table which was embarrassing enough. They said they would turn it on again after a bit and never did. One of our food order was never brought out. We mentioned to waitress and she showed no concern or apologies although she did take it off bill. The server was “nice” until the bill came. My mom gave me the cash and bill to pay while she brought my young siblings to the car. We had originally planned to tip the waitress with some of the remaining change. When I paid (at the front desk) the server asked if I would like to give a tip. But she did so with my change in her hand. She then sped walk back to the table (with my change) and returned harassing me loudly there was no tip on the table in front of the main entrance with other people around. I was extremely embarrassed and uncomfortable. Her rude demeanor and sudden change of character from the “nice” waitress at the table changed my mind about tipping her. She did not give me my change until I confirmed I would not tip. She tried to guilt trip me, a young girl, in “screwing her over.” I said I was sorry and she rudely handled money into my hands. I talked to an another women (who I think is the owner) and explained we didn’t like the service and my mom is a single mother of four kids paying a overpriced bill. The lady’s response made it seem like it was ok for the waitress to be disrespectful and made tipping seem like an obligation. I repeat I was going to tip before her rude behavior. Tipping is nice but a choice. I will never go...
