I stopped here yesterday on my way back home to Kansas. First of all, the woman who took my order was very friendly, but it was the young man who was at the pickup window who touched my heart. I had to wait a few minutes, and in that short time, I learned he was also from Kansas, and had moved to Holdrege for a fresh start. Aisle are to narrow (a common issue with Dollar General stores). Narrow aisles with several carts loaded with new merchandise makes it hard to reach what you are shopping for and just wide (barely wide enough) enough to get only one cart in an aisle. The check out area is as poorly designed as is the rest of the store. If it's really busy, that weakness is really apparent. It gets so crowded at the checkout I have seen people just leave.
