Not happy with the young girl at the hostess stand we asked for a table and she said we don't have any available the proceeded to say we have half table half bench,I said that would be fine also. Apparently she didn't listen to me. She was chatting with another person. Fourty five minutes went by and everyone else got seated,my son got up and inquired. They just looked at us,a couple minutes went by and another hostess said I can seat you in the dining room that's closed but you will be only table in there. We proceeded to walk thru the dining room that had like 3 empty tables half chairs half bench and a leg table with a bench all the way around. We were seated in the closed dining room,no one came to take a drink order at this time everyone is upset. I walk over to the hostess stand where 3-4 people are standing and told them to get me a manager now! When he came over I asked why are we seated back here and there is no waiter,and we walked past empty tables. He proceeded to say I heard you say you wanted a table no your hostess did not listen to what I said,I said a half table n bench was fine.I told him there were open ones in the room we just walked through he lied and said those people just left. No they did not,I told him either move us were we can get decent service or I we were leaving and I would never be back! It's not the first time this has happened to my family! You know where he Sat us the large table with booth seat all the way around one we had just passed! The older hostess who saw we had been waiting so long really tried to seat us before but the younger one bypassed us. We told her it was not her fault and she apologized and said these younger people don't understand; She comped our appetizers. It was our anniversary and your restraunt made it a nightmare because your employee did not pay attention to my request then proceeded to ignore us! Read moreFirst time dining here about 2 pm on a Wednesday per a recommendation. Hostess was very accommodating when I mentioned is was our first time eating here & did she have any suggestions. She suggested that the Reubens, Prime Rib Dip plus a few others. She was absolutely correct about the Reuben, big & delicious! Along with a serving of their flavorful soup it was a filling. So we also ordered the Whitefish dinner. Came with 6 generous pieces of grease dripping fish, 5 pieces left on the platter laying in the grease when we received our check. So here's where this is going our server Rachelle S is working in the wrong profession! Not only is she not a friendly type of server you would expect from this incredible restaurant but downright nasty. We placed our order, our salad came out mine with the wrong dressing, no apologies just snatched up the ranch off the table after we got her attention that she had made a mistake. Our 2nd mouthful of salad here she is with our meal! I said we just received our salad as she drops the food off to the side of our salads & said yup our kitchen isn't busy. Okay then. Anyhow as I stated before the Reuben, soup & salads were very worthy of our stop for a late lunch. Now the Whitefish was disgusting, sitting in a grease covered dish. Now mine you not once she she return to the table to check on us! Both of our water glasses were empty also. But she came to give us the bill & nothing was said about the 5 pieces of fish still laying in the grease dish. I requested a to go container when she came back to collect our payment. Not a word was said about the meal not being eaten. She seen me taking pictures of the grease alk lying on the plate plus our empty water glasses as that's all we had to drink with our meals. Yup spectacular sandwiche & soup but be warned about the terrible experience with the unbelievable horrendous service we experienced. Read moreThe hubby and I stopped by after spending the afternoon at Holland State Park. They told us a 45 minute wait, but we were seated within 15 minutes. That was the good part and the rest of the evening was downhill from there. Our waitress wasn’t very attentive and the food took FOREVER to come to our table. Once we receive our wings, I ate one which tasted great. Grabbed another, bit into it and there was hair! 🤮. Needless to say I wasn’t happy. Our waitress didn’t return to the table to see if we were happy with the wings. Another young lady came to the table after she noticed the wings and dressings had been pushed to the front for removal. She was very nice and asked what happened. I told her about the incident and she apologized. Eventually our waitress came to the table to apologize about the long wait and I informed her of the hair incident. She never said “I’m sorry” etc. our food finally arrived and the perch was extremely fishy. She returned to the table later to say the manager gave her permission to removed the wings from the bill. The tomato basil chicken I ordered was very dry and the sauce was very clumpy. Allison arrived and saved the day. She asked how was the food and I proceeded to tell her of my experience. I told her the kitchen had a bad day and the manager never came to address the table about the hair issue.
