Port Pediatric Dentistry — Local services in Holland Charter Township

Port Pediatrics Dentistry is absolutely hands down the best place to go to with your little ones here in Holland, the staff is amazing they are friendly, patient, caring, and understanding ,they honestly go above and beyond their work. I have 3 kids so I've been around different dental offices with them, and I have to say Port Pediatrics has exceeded my expectations as a parent and ive never had a single bad experience with them, they have forever made an impact in my kids life. We all know going to the dentist is not fun for kids specially if they don't know what to expect, but the staff is so well prepared for the little ones, they are very patient and understanding of their feelings, they make the kids feel safe and at home, which to me as a mom that goes above and beyond my expectations. Dr. Port is amazing at her work, she is very friendly and patient, she really likes to have that one to one talk with parents as well to show you details of x-rays and talk over the visit, she makes you feel really involved and that your kid is being cared for. Samantha and Cassie are both wonderful hygienist, they made my kids feel safe by communicating with them in way that made them feel special, making them feel involved around the entire process and showing them all special tools they used to give them a sense of what to expect so they can have a better experience and not a scary one. Front office ladies have excellent costumer service, they are very friendly and understanding, they communicate very well. Overall I will recommend this Dental office to anyone with kids. I can't stress it enough, the entire staff are absolutely AMAZING and they dont get enough credit!! Highly...

Today was the first time I have ever visited this office. So my opinion is based just on today. Let me tell you though, sitting in the hallway with my 19mnth daughter while waiting to be let in after you have to call and check in (thanks covid). I WAS NOT impressed. However, this waS by far the ONLY DOWN SIDE. Once in we were greeted, checked in with temperatures, then a walked back into the office rooms. EVERYONE that we passed was very welcoming and friendly like the greeter. Dr. Port was personally very hands on, open with treatment/problems, helpful, respectful, understanding, compassionate, and seemed to genuinely care about the way her dental care would last and be after the treatment. A++ for understanding that babies do wayy better with the parent where as some dentists would just push and force the babies to be uncomfortable, and not in contact with the parent. Her staff is is also super friendly, especially the X-ray ladies my daughter is quite the fighter and relatively strong for her age but, even with my daughter's fighting and relentless kicking, and biting down to not let them get the pictures they needed they were still very gentle and patient with her. As for the receptionist Emily, she was very clear with all questions and concerns regarding paperwork, and made sure that I understood several of the things that were to occur in the near future with our future visits/ treatments. Regardless let me just say I cannot wait and look forward to seeing her, and the office crew, every time that we have routine care needs, check-ups, and absolutely need to. My other two daughters that are older than the baby will also be attending this dentist office...

Wow! I was so impressed with Port Pediatric Dentistry! We found them when our dentist my kids have been seeing for 5 years told us we might be better off seeing a pediatric dentist because of the “scope of work” my son had to have done which really was a handful of cavities. He has always been a very good brusher and even flosses! My other dentist made me feel judged and obviously didn’t believe my son takes care of his teeth. The staff at Port Pediatric was welcoming and put my anxious son at ease within 5 minutes of being there. Dr. Port explained and showed me everything she was seeing and recommended not filling the cavities as they are on baby teeth that he will be losing very soon (which we could see thanks to a 360 degree x-ray they used). She even complemented my son on how well he takes care of his teeth and that she could tell he is a good brusher and that he flosses regularly (he really does!). I have never been to a dentist so thorough and patient-focused! My other dentist would have filled every single one of those cavities and also pushed for a pricey tooth sealant which we have shelled out money for in the past because we were essentially guilted into it. My son LOVED it there and randomly tells me he can’t wait to go to his next appointment. All 4 of my children have now been switched over to Port Pediatric Dentistry and I know they will be well taken...
