First let me say...I have loved Kentucky fried chicken my whole life, That is until I moved to Holland back in 1998. Sadly, Holland has the worst KFC I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. This particular franchise is the Detroit Lions of KFC's. They find new and exciting ways to disappoint with every interaction. I understand why their dining area is still closed "due to Covid"....The health dept. probably should have had them close it long ago so no loss. What I don't understand is how you can mess up the most recognized chicken in the world for decades and still be in business "That's just Holland I guess". The chicken from this particular store has never..NEVER! been cooked properly. When you order a bucket of chicken you're lucky if 40% of the batter actually sticks to the piece of chicken...Most of it falls off in the bucket. Then the chicken itself is usually slimy and bland. When you actually do manage to get a piece where the batter sticks to the chicken it looks nothing like the product from the good KFC's in other cities. I still can't believe people eat here, but hey ..maybe it's the insanely high prices that keep people coming back for more. I would give most KFC's four stars because of their chicken alone, but I thought this place was worthy of the only negative review I have ever wrote. Thank god Holland is getting a...
Read moreThis KFC in Holland is right in the middle of a business community that has grown over the years. It used to be by the Meijers and the lumber yard and now it is by an amazing ice cream store across the street. Go in Check out the freezer at the end of the store across the street. Sorry I got sidetracked but this is KFC and we all know what KFC is. However, in this store here is what is different: The staff here is top notch, service was so fast I didn't even think about it practically no wait. Sidenote! The $20 Family meal is a really good value. (Note if you order this you will be able to put some in your fridge for the next day. It is a really good value see fridge pic 😆 ) If you're going to splurge you can get the apple pie bites. But if you're on a budget they are yummy but stick with the $20 family meal. It's golden! You get cornbread (see pic) coleslaw corn OR Beans And mashed potatoes and gravy. So much stuff! So yummy!(Why did I not realize KFC had cornbread before ) And of course the chicken of your choice. I always choose the original recipe. There's a big side note here. After being a vegetarian for 20 years, there are only two things that I missed barbecue and KFC. After covid I now choose to enjoy KFC. Yep Total comfort food. Love the spices and the cornbread. At this particular Holland KFC Love the service! ...
Read moreBorn and Raised around KFC, been to KFC in 8 different states, 9/10 times I love it their - Yes sometimes something happens that makes me wonder but I go back.. Ive been back to this location 5 times.. 5. not including the 3 times they where closed BEFORE 8pm when the posted on door says 9, website says 9 and google says 9. Set that aside.. 1/5 times Ive enjoyed the food. Today was the worst of it all, showed up at 2pm with a line of cars waiting to get DRY over cooked chicken, with no meat on the chicken, paid 19$ for dried and flaky original style chicken. Before that I could see that hey held the mashed potatoes under a heat lamp per-packaged as it was brown on the top - late night but I don't care. Previous to that they just simply got the food wrong and again dry.. only 1 time was it juicy and tender with the original style breading that Ive come to enjoy across the county.. I will never goto this location again. Stay away. - Customer service is Par, - Just give me your order and move to the next window. - No energy. Only during the day did I find a pleasant...
