Personally this is an "ok" restaurant. Will I ever return? Not really. It definitely wont be on a priority list.
The service was great. The waitress was extremely friendly. She had a smile on her face each time she came to our table. A lot of people don't understand that smiles makes the business.
The interior was very spacious. Not super crowded. The seating was comfortable and the setting matched the food.
Now let's get into the food itself. It was not a favorite. The soups were delicious on the soup bar. However the actual entree dishes were absolutely a let down.
The loaded baked potato; I was expecting bacon, melted cheese, sour cream, and green onions. What I actually got was a potato caked with French onion chip dip.
The pasta salad was absolutely atrocious. Penne pasta drenched in olives and tomatoes. The pasta tasted like the water from the canned black olives was used for the flavoring. I expected a mayo, celery, shell/macaroni style pasta, not this. Another disappointment.
The chicken breast served with my meal was dry. No fat was used to preserve the tenderness of the meat. It was slapped on a grill until it was a burnt, dried, sad little chicken patty.
The steak didn't impress either. Asked for a rare steak and what came out was a piece of beef that looked like it came from a chuck roast. It was overcooked from my request to a medium-rare. It was chewy because it was a cheap cut of beef.
The only thing that's saving my review is the welcoming and bright servers.
In summery, if you are simple in palate, this would be a great place to eat. Personality, I expected an actual steakhouse in quality given the hype but left feeling like I ate at a...
Read moreTL:DR = In My opinion, the price of the food isn’t worth the quality of what you’re getting here.
Tried this place because we had heard a lot about it…
First, the positives = great service from hostesses to servers and the rolls/bread they brought out was scalding hot and tasted amazing.
So, I/we had high hopes about the food.
We had a big party and everybody got something different steak salad, chicken salad, burger, streak, chicken tenders, seafood… and afterwards everybody had the same impression of the food… It looked and tasted like food that was pre-cooked, frozen, then reheated when it was ordered. The Medium-Rare and Medium steaks had “that look” especially. Fries were average and had absolutely no seasoning which was weird since there was a lot of seasoning on the starter bread… and the chicken tenders were those heavily breaded, fried, frozen, and microwaved style tenders you can get in the store. The feedback on the burger was “it didn’t taste bad… but it didn’t really taste like a hamburger… it didn’t really taste like anything.”
For $18-26 a meal… the expectation was just higher.
Which is unfortunate because it has a nice roadhouse atmosphere and the hostesses, servers, and bidders were working their tails off and all super friendly and attentive (everywhere I could see them).
Don’t let this dissuade you from giving it a shot, clearly a lot of reviews and people love it so maybe we just hit a bad night, but I would be hesitant to go there...
Read moreWe had been to Crazy Horse in the past (over a year ago) prior to the re-model and prior to the new menu and loved the food and the portion sizes.
We visited again last night expecting the same. After a wait, we were seated in a table that still needed to be wiped and the bill needed to be picked up: that was a bit odd.
Service was good and the food came quick. Small problem: the fries and chicken were obviously left out for a lengthy time and re-microwaved. The fries were stale and the chicken was lukewarm.
We did not mention anything to our waitress because the last thing we are looking for is a free meal (not to mention having to send food back to the kitchen...no thanks!); however, re-heating old stale potatoes is very unsanitary and dangerous to your customers' health.
Food tasted good and we tipped normal. However, we would like to ask Crazy Horse not to heat up old food for us ever again... this should not be necessary at a restaurant that is prosperous and so busy (you would think everything would be fresh and flying out of the kitchen). Make it fresh, please.
And please do not respond to this post that your food is fresh and hot off the grill: last night was just plain disappointing and we thought better of the restaurant prior to this. Unfortunately, we will never come back.
Hopefully this review is constructive and can help improve the business: DON'T HEAT UP FOOD THAT IS LEFT OUT FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME AND THEN SERVE IT TO YOUR...
