Polly's Tea Room — Restaurant in Holly Hill

Let me start off by saying I have never given a poor review ever because I believe how powerful those remarks are but I feel that strongly here. I just had a "Pretty Woman" moment. I was looking into Polly's Tea Room for an event and she basically told me in so many words that I probably couldn't afford the rates and then when I asked how much if I actually brought in my own people and handled registration through me how much she would charge me and she didn't even respond with a price she simply said, "they're still coming on my property using my food and having my tea." I said this is not a good fit and it's very rude that you should judge people based upon what they look like on how much they can and cannot afford! Highly discourage anyone from doing events there. Fantastic Birthday Experience! As someone who is passionate about Tea and Tea Parties, I have nothing but positive things to say about Polly's Tea Room! I had booked Polly's Tea Room for a private birthday event, and everything went as smoothly as possible. The food and tea were absolutely delicious, and even one of my guests who is not normally a tea drinker enjoyed the Chai! The Venue was gorgeous and perfect, and my guests and myself enjoyed every moment in the tea room. The ambience brings the review up from one. Whilst in a beautiful location and with pleasant hosts, the food was so far from a matching quality. We had to request a regular tea flavour as florals don’t go down well with our group. Just a reminder that tea needs boiling water in order to steep to a colour past insipid brown. The food presented was embarrassingly prepared. Sad sandwiches on irregular sized slices with a minuscule filling and a salad fit for turtles only.
