I flew cross country, for an event this pas weekend, only to be racially profiled and asked to leave before the event started. The athletic club succumbed to requests, of several racist bridgemill residents, to cancel the event without cause or justification. There were less 50 people onsite before several police, some with dogs, showed up to the pool. We waited an hr, only to be turned away, as more attendees, were stopped from even entering. If we weren't wanted, why take the deposit and final payment required for a private event???? Why enter into a contract, if the residents can choose who can use the pool, based on the color of your skin. I have never been so insulted. I would recommend that you avoid coming here to host or attend any event held where a resident feels comfortable stating he may come in his KKK (aka Klan outfit) garb and a bulk of the residents feel that having a large number of intelligent, professional, adults, that happen to be BLACK, using the pool for a private party means the pool is contaminated. It really makes this establishment, and the city of Canton and the county of Cherokee, look very unappealing. I thought about moving to the state, but after THIS....I will stay in California, where so many other things matter besides the color...
Read moreWe moved to Bridgemill a year ago tomorrow and my son and I have played about a dozen rounds this season. The folks in the pro shop and the starters are warm and friendly, the atmosphere is laid back. The food in the restaurant is also delicious.
The course is very good with challenging holes and is in great shape. The greens are a little rough, but only because players aren't good about fixing ball marks. Rain makes this course nearly paths only, because the turf is so soft. We have usually played a round in 3-3.5 hours.
Finally, I also want to say that we heard about the incident that many of these reviews are referencing and it seems very unfair that these are all one star from people with an axe to grind and giving a false impression of this course and club. It should be in the 4's, easy, and high 4's in my opinion, and I have golfed in many places in many states. I truly think a lot of these reviews are fake and contain lies (e.g. someone writing the 'n' word on their card, come on..), and they should be able to remove these. I would report them all to Google if I could but only had time...
Read moreToo few golf carts (72), too many parties and other events that took away from our tournament, felt like the bald headed step children. Hubby played a two day tournament here, 120.00 a day, no carts for us to ride along watch with so we walked (that was lively) was told come back later for cart, asked for cart in the turn and was greeted by a lively woman who...never mind. Next day on 8 called the cafe and it was closed (2:59) closes at 3:00. BS. We had it in our contract to have food available until all were in, they remedied that on our second day but only after I had to go Karen on them, yes, I did! Not proud of that! See: They scheduled their men’s league the same day as our tournament, so we received poor service. The parties! All were having a grand time! All but our GOLF tournament ! Lol!!! Weddings took precedence , weddings and baby showers and everything other than Golf Week Not a good experience here: not like The Falls or The Manor or any other of the Courses we have ever played. When I became frustrated the “lovely lady” Informed me of her opinion, “they don’t need us”. Yep,...
