Amedeo's Restaurant & Pizzeria — Restaurant in Holyoke

Update: I'm very disappointed. I took my mom in to treat her to lunch. We sat at the bar. The bartender was watching the news which was understandably upsetting but not why I was at the restaurant. The bartender started talking in our direction about her feelings on the politics on the screen. I stayed quiet hoping she would change the subject. After she went on and on about things I didn't agree with I told her I didn't agree. She politely said we can agree to disagree. Then I went to the bathroom and as I did I heard her talking in the kitchen about how she can't stand "these types of people". My mother and I finished our drinks and took our food home. I told the other waitress that I wouldn't be back as long as the bartender was employed there. I came in for a meal and not a political conversation or to be disrespected by the staff. It is inappropriate for waitstaff to try to engage in politcal talk with customers and then disrespect them by talking badly about them in earshot. It is too bad because I really like this place but the lack of professionalism leaves a bad taste in my mouth. ............

I go to Amedeo's every couple of months. The pizza is great. I especially love the Margharita pizza. Very think, crispy crust. The homemade salad dress is delicious. Today my mom got one of the lunch specials: the Eggplant Florentine. It was scrumptious, and priced at just $7.95! You can do take out or dine in. There is no delivery available. I highly recommend this long-standing...

What a hidden 💎. I drive by it for a couple years already and finally someone told me how delicious food is being served here so I had to try. From outside it looks just like regular bar, going inside same bar kind of atmosphere but as soon we walk in we become part of the family 🥰. Our server Elliot made my day. I was tired, because I just got out of work and didn't have a chance to decompress, but Elliot with his bubblie comedian personality kept me laughing throughout the entire visit. You can tell that he makes everyone feel that way and has quite of few regulars. That speaks value. Our appetizer, meals and dessert require the same applaud. So delicious 😋 , nice big portions without being overpriced. It's a true authentic family restaurant with great atmosphere and delicious home made food and desserts. Well first of all it's a very cozy little hidden gem in Holyoke The food is excellent My rib eye Marsala was one of the best steaks I've ever had. The French onion soup was delicious although it could have used maybe a little bit more breading but that's just my preference because I love bread lol And speaking of bread the bread that comes out before your meal I had two baskets of it's just perfectly bite-sized and phenomenal My only downside with this establishment and every single one of my friends agrees is that they do not serve mashed potatoes or baked potatoes which everybody loves with a steak I just don't understand why they can make sweet potato fries or french fries as an option but not a baked potato or a sweet potato that would just make it five stars for me a nice steak with a baked potato or mashed potato would hit the spot I wish they would implement that into the menu it's not...
