Tucked away in Homer, MI is my absolute favorite pizza place in all of the mitten. Cascerelli's has not disappointed me yet. I've been here a handful of times on my way to the west side of the state. Whether it's a weekday, weekend or holiday = they have been staffed, friendly and ready to serve delicious food. The staff here are exceptionally friendly (shout out to the bartend Casey). He offered us beer and a drink list, but I was honestly just dehydrated and ordered a water during this trip. Casey was totally chill about it. Gave us promptly a food menu and could tell we were more interested in chowing down. We witnessed a service provider who was performing maintenance work behind the bar being praised for his work on short notice and on a weekend. So the kitchen staff bought him a beer and a pizza for being so cool. We asked Casey how long he has worked there and he replied "about 4-5 years" which tells me this place took care of their people even during a pandemic. I love a home-owned non-chain restaurant and when businesses do their best to get their employees involved in the process. You can tell that about this place. Also fresh ingredients are important to them. Our food took no time at all to come out to us, but the kitchen staff still apologized that our salad took longer to make because they were roasting our lemon squeeze toppers. If I could give this place 10 stars out of 5, it would still be too few. Don't ever change...
Read moreThis night started off wrong to begin with. We arrived to find our family had already been waiting 15 minutes and were poised to wait another 15-20 when I asked the hostess why, despite there being over 6 tables open (with one very large table being "reserved"), there were still many people waiting for their table. She looked very upset with my question and said that "All of those tables are reserved," but (funnily enough) immediately sat us at a loud table in the middle of the restaurant.
While the pizza we received was amazing, I was given the wrong order of pizza, not once, but twice. I hate sending food back and wasn't going to do it a second time, so I just ate it and kept my mouth shut. Over 1.5 hours later, as we were leaving, the "reserved" table was still empty, as well as the other tables that the hostess had claimed were reserved. I made sure to tell all the people waiting in line that they were waiting in a false, fake, contrived line created by a hostess who either: Very obviously does not know what she is doing, or Is being directed by her manager to not seat people because they don't have the waiting staff to accommodate all of those people.
Either one of these scenarios is unacceptable. Do better, Cascarelli's. Either retrain your hostess or your...

We go here several times a year and have never had a bad meal. We usually get pizza but have also had pasta or burgers. It’s always very good and anyone that accompanies us is pleased as well. They can accommodate large groups. It is spacious and comfortable. The service has always been great. The wait is short and the food is up in a reasonable amount of time even when they’re extremely busy. The servers are very friendly and efficient. I have noticed their servers tend to be long term which is a sign of a good establishment. You won’t be disappointed!
UPDATE!!!!!!
Changing my rating from 4 ⭐️ to 2. We come a lot during riding weather, probably twice a month because it’s a nice ride. Visited today and ordered our usual, The Porkys, a meat lovers dream. Today it was a skeleton of the previous one. There was hardly any meat on it. I mean after taking a few bites of mine I lifted the cheese on several pieces and was lucky if I found one single pepperoni on a piece. When I mentioned it to the waitress she looked at it and said, “Hmm looks the same to me”. If this is the new standard we’ll be finding a new riding destination. Sad, we always looked forward to it but I don’t go to a place where the food was good, I go...
