I’ve went to this Subway location in Homer on two separate occasions. The first time I thought it was a fluke since I gave them the benefit of the doubt that they may have had a bad day or overwhelmed due to the amount of customers. They had no bread options, extremely poor customer service and no sauces/bread prepped for customers. A customer even cut us in line and stood right in front of my family but never even said one word or looked at us. Thought that was weird and matched the whole vibe of that place. My mom’s, husband’s and my sandwich were all made horribly with the sandwiches not fully wrapped or cut through all the way. Just thrown about in the midst of chaos.
The second time wasn’t even close to enjoyable. I tried to be understanding as possible with a smile cause I was appreciative that they were making my sandwiches cause I was super hungry. The soda machine was all kinds of messed up with no carbonation, little syrup and every option tasted incredibly watered down. They were so awful. I didn’t want to say anything for being further mistreated by employees and wanted to get out of there immediately. The vibe was so off. They had hardly any selection of chips with only 3-4 options available. The employees were very bossy, unapproachable, constantly made my husband and I feel like a burden for ordering food here. When we got home to finally eat our sandwiches we realized the bread was burnt. We ate them anyway since we were so hungry and washed them down with our drinks that tasted off as well. The only thing that tasted yummy was our chips that weren’t even made by Subway LOL. One out of 5 stars and will probably never recommend to anyone or come back to this stressful place again. Just go to McDonald’s it’s so much better and less expensive then a $33 two foot long medium meals...
Read moreI have no problem with the food. It’s fresh and tasty.. The service is excellent! I left a 25 percent tip. The restaurant is very clean. The restrooms are also very clean. Your crew does good work.
The only problem I have is the outside of the store, the mall common area, could be cleaned up a little. The new location is kind of tucked into the corner of the L shaped mall so the wind doesn’t blow away dust and litter. Smokers love to leave their butts for others to clean up, of course. Smokers lungs…. Anyway, I thought other than just keeping the ingress tidy, it’s a lot better experience than McDonalds. Can’t get into the bathrooms at McDonalds without standing in line to order a key, and no refill on soda - that would defeat the purpose of overdosing salt on...
Read moreIt's subway. You know what you're here for. Be aware that this staff has no condiment modulation. If you ask for mustard, you're getting a ½ gallon of it, standard. I highly recommend using the packs of mustard, mayo, oil and vinegar by the soda machine as an alternative. Im sure this sounds petty, but c'mon... you have that perfect BMT going, just the right amount of veggies, your bread nicely toasted, your mouth is salivating, tummy rumbling in anticipation, when out of nowhere, your "light mayo and mustard" becomes a vomit colored soup of disappointment as it squirts tauntingly from your now inedible soggy white trash French...
