Food was excellent and service was somehow even better, our server was Grace, who did an awesome job and everyone here was absolutely working their tails off. Despite being packed, with a shor wait, our food came out pretty fast, obviously didn't just sit around on a warming mat, and obviously wasn't pre-made to be reheated either.
I had the Halibut burrito, it was better than what I could ever make, certainly securing a spot up their with the very best burritos that I've ever eaten... which is quite many 😅 The Halibut in it was pan seared, not breaded, and definitely not sitting around in a warmer until it was mush. I had mine with a blu cheese side salad, which was fresh, crunchy, delicious, and the perfect size for a side salad.
My dad and I shared the Artichoke dip, it too was absolutely 5 star, and served in a small ceramic skillet to keep it warm while you eat. Served along side were tortilla chips AND thinly sliced bread... enough to actually eat all of the dip with, unlike many places I've eaten before.
My dad had the Baja burger... it was huge, and although we were both rather hungry, he ate the whole thing. He normally probably wouldn't quite finish that with an appetizer and side salad before, but he said it was fantastic.
The take away from this is 5 star food serves by 5 star folks in a 5 star setting. Grace was fast, even made my dad and I smile and laugh. Food was delicious and served in VERY filling portions. The table we ate at out on the back covered patio was good too, perfect place to eat the delicious food and have a drink or two!

Read moreLate night menu great for a late dinner and even better when you want something small. It seems like everyone closes at 9pm in Homer, AK, which is kinda crazy being in the land of the midnight sun! We came across Alibi while looking for a light dinner after a very long day of driving and fishing. We found it easily with google and got a close parking spot. I am very sensitive to noise, light, and smells (daily migraine) and I recently had gastric bypass (weight loss surgery) so eating in bars and restaurants can be challenging. The music was loud, but not "instant throbbing head" loud, we found a table close to the kitchen where the volume wasn't as loud. No obnoxious smells, no flashing or bright lights. The late night menu is small compared to the dinner menu, but still offered some variety. I ordered a single chicken taco, waitress questioned my serving size choice, but not in a pushy way. As a gastric bypass patient, finding small healthy options is hard, especially when away from home. I didn't eat the shell that came with the taco, just the filling, and it was super tasty. My dinner companion ordered a ginger ale and a chicken quesadilla, he said it was a good size for a light dinner and also enjoyed the flavors. And my favorite part? The bill was just under $20 for my party. Granted, folks that don't have a surgically tiny tummy will eat more, it's still inexpensive, and will be on my short list of bariatric friendly places to eat. Definitely will go back next time...
Read moreWe ordered the blueberry mojito and blueberry margarita. We asked for no salt or sugar on the rim. They put salt so we had to wipe it off. Second round, we asked for another mojito and a regular margarita on the rocks. Brought a shot of tequila on the rocks. The waiter kept blaming it on the bar tender. Volcano wings were barely spicy. Tacos were good but were never given a choice of tortillas even though they have choices. Waiter never checked back so we had to wave at him several times anytime we needed something. He did his best not to make eye contact to avoid serving us. That was his mo. Other guests had to go chase him across the room to get service. Waiter offered to take the incorrect drink off the table but we were charged. Will...
