Shed — Restaurant in Homosassa Springs

Trudy behind the bar an older woman, was very rude an condescending as we placed our order. I asked for a pitcher of ice water for our table and some lemons on the side the woman bold faced lied stated she had no lemons so I requested limes. She put them in the pitcher with an additude instead of one on the side as requested. Next we ordered , the fish basket on the menu has no indication as to what type of fish so I requested grouper for my son. The woman Trudy proceeded to scold me and said they never do grouper baskets like I should know this already lol.(it's Flounder by the way) We got wings,grouper bites, fries a fish basket, a clamstrip basket, and a pound of slap your mama steamed shrimp. None of the food had anything special about it the hot sauce for the wings was literally Chula hot sauce not wing sauce🤮 the grouper bites were mostly flavorless breading, the wings dry over cooked, the clam strip basket clams were burnt, the steamed shrimp with slap your mama seasoning were bland and lightly seasoned at best. One of cooks asked how the food was I responded ok and left it at that. I asked the cook if the lady at the bars name was Trudy she said why was she mean to ya like it's common for customers to be treated like trash here. I would not recommend this place ever !!!!! Go to Nauti Time or the Freezer good food good service ......No Trudy's 🤣😁. Oh and the next table after us got ice waters with lemon along with lemons with our shrimp ! Also do not eat...

Do NOT go here unless you like rude staff and costumers. Me and my family came here to grab a drink for my mom’s birthday and instead of having a good time we were harassed by a rude customer and told to leave by the staff. My brother was sitting in a chair at the end of an empty table listening to the band when a couple came and sat at the other end of it, after awhile the husband came up to my brother, who 1 sat there first and 2 was on the complete other end of the 8 seater table and started calling him disrespectful for sitting there then turned to my dad and told him he failed at raising his kids, this obviously ticked my dad off and the two of the started arguing. A worker came up and told US to leave but not the people who started the conflict, I tell the worker exactly what happened and he tells my family and the couple to leave, we walked away but I looked back to see this worker let the others stay, we used to come here all the time but after this we’ll never be back. Idc if the worker thought he was helping because the way this was handled was disgusting. I might sound dramatic but this is just a compressed version of what happened. This place should be ashamed of how they treat their customers. Again, stay away from this place, go to the monkey bar instead, they know how to run...

We visited on a Wednesday night in June 2025. First impression was great. Parking lot was plenty big. It wasn’t crowded at all. It’s right on the water. A guy was cleaning fish just feet from our seats. We got to see some birds picking up the scraps as well as some local kids fishing the docks. You go to the bar to order and then they give you a little buzzer that goes off and then you go pick up your food from a little shack just across the way from the bar. I tried the blackened fish basket which had blackened flounder, hush puppies, french fries and coleslaw. I also tried the bang bang shrimp which is there Wednesday night special right now. It’s six dollars instead of nine dollars on Wednesday nights. It was a very large portion and the shrimps were large and fried perfectly with just the right amount of spice in the bang bang sauce. The blackened flounder was seasoned to perfection, the fries were super crispy, the hush puppies had a lot of onion flavor, and the coleslaw was both creamy and tangy with a hint of sweet. The food only took about 15 minutes to come out. They unfortunately were out of crabcakes which they told us after my friend ordered and paid for them. But they allowed her to pick a substitution.
