Wild Sassa Food Trailer — Restaurant in Homosassa Springs

Newer Very unique hidden gem nestled away along the homosassa river .what a perfect river watching spot without the overcrowdedness that comes with the more well known spots.I had shrimp tacos and my friend had the steak tacos.these tacos are amazing very fresh and gourmet from my own perspective .The flavors where spot on .It is in my opinion leading as of now in quality of ingredients and mixture of flavors than the others in the old homosassa area serving shrimp,fish and steak tacos.They also have a few other items that I'm sure are just as good such as peel and eat shrimp .I would like to see a few appetizer style items added to the menu such as a chips and salsa or cheese dip and maybe offer rice and beans. I've lived here in Crystal river for 15 years.we have tried all kinds of small restaurants around here and really was disappointed.I'm from Florida and know we have great seafood here.but for some reason we have lost our touch on cooking great seafood.we were about to give up on seafood restaurants around here until we found this place.took alittle time to get our food.but we understand that these lady's our working out of a food trailer.and it's challenging to pump food out of a small place.but once we got our food it was so worth it.hot freash and very delicious we will be going back for lunch again.and have shared this place as one of our new favorite places.keep up the great flavors lady's your doing...

We loved this place so much, we ate here twice during our week's vacation to Homosassa. The "shrimpy" is so good! The ladies running this place are wonderful and you might have to wait a minute, but that's because it's real food and they are putting it together so well. Gluten free options! That was hard for me to find in the area, so I was happy to find this. But my family isn't gluten free and they loved the quesadillas, crab chowder and tacos. I had a basket both times and it's so filling and fresh. They put fresh fruit with each meal. I cannot recommend this place enough! Plus, you get to sit by the river, watching the boats and we were visited by ducks and ibises...
